One Team One Vision One Goal
2009 was one of the toughest but most rewarding years
we’ve had. We suffered through one of the worse economies in recent history but have managed to not only persevere, but thrive. 2009 saw the Titans expand the academic support we provide the youth in our program, with the addition of a successful summer camp and the test prep. Our girls captured a regional championship in step, and finished second in the nation at a fiercely competitive national tournament. And our boys’ teams continued to make progress with the
Jr. Pee Wees compiling an undefeated regular season, and the varsity team returning to the superbowl.
The year has certainly not been without its challenges, but we have much to be
thankful for and much to look forward to in the future for our program!

hands, STRONG! I’m so proud of you. This

To My Little Brother Ty:
Congratulations on a great season. I am extremely proud of you, beyond belief. When I
think back on the times when I used to call you “Moo Moo”
and you would call me “Ashey” (because you were too
young to be able to pronounce words with Ls) tears come to
my eyes because I see how much you’ve grown. This year, I
was able to see you at practice and see how much
dedication you put into the sport that you love. I hope you’ll
always be as confident about yourself as I am about you.
I am proud of you Ty. No just “Ty, the football player,” but
“Ty, my brother, my driving force of inspiration, my hope of
the future, my belief in all that is good.” You make me look forward to parenthood
because just the simple fact that my child has the ability to be at least half as amazing as
you are makes it all worth it. I will ALWAYS be there whenever you need me and even at
times when you feel like you don’t need me because that’s what a big sister is for so get
used to it Ty.
Best of love (not luck, because you have all the skills necessary to rise to the top) in the

The Unity Bowl is a celebration of the spirit of competition
and cooperation between the various programs in the
City. We compete fiercely between the whistles and the
white lines of the gridiron, but come together in unity with
regard to our overarching purpose: uplifting, motivating and seeking
better outcomes for the youth we serve. The game was held during
the Thanksgiving at Poly Prep. This year the Titans invited the Staten
Island Bandits 8th Grade team; the Far Rockaway Ravens Mighty
Far Rockaway
Mite and Jr. Pee Wee Teams; and the Brooklyn Renegade Pee Wee
Team to compete.
On January 9th, the Titans cosponsored an 8th Grade All-Star
Game to showcase the talents of
Brooklyn youth. The game was held
at Canarsie High School and included
approximately 75 kids from all the
youth leagues around Brooklyn.
