Perfect the art of scrummaging
Perfect the art of scrummaging with the Rhino Dictator, the official scrum machine
of the South African Rugby Union, England Rugby and the Welsh Rugby Union.
With a new hydraulic wheel system, the Rhino Dictator is a robust steel sled with
four adjustable heights and vertical rounded, dual foam, detachable scrum pads.
It also features a wider head and larger pads to accommodate a greater range
of pack sizes and two ‘geared’ ground spikes for use on the move. Pads move
horizontally against the variable resistance hydraulic dampeners.

The newly adopted ‘Crouch, Bind, Set’ scrummage sequence
demands a different approach to scrummaging. The bind is
now more important than ever and Rhino have responded
to help replicate this within scrum training. Designed and
tested with the world’s best scrum coaches, the dense foam
pad, lined with rugby shirt material, requires players to work
to get a good bind as they would in the match.

TRUEDRIVE
Straightforward scrummaging
Our new accessory for the Dictator
scrum machine, the TrueDrive, is
designed to help packs scrummage
in a straight line horizontally. When
engaged on the machine or during the
engage, if the front row lifts the head
of the machine upwards past a certain
point the TrueDrive alarm sounds
and the pitch increases as the head is
lifted. Similarly if the head drops past a
certain point the alarm sounds and the
pitch gets lower the more the head is
driven downwards. A great tool to help
the pack maximise driving power and
also engage without dropping or lifting
to avoid being penalised.

certificate and 12 month warranty against
manufacturing defect. We recommend annual
checks by RHINO to renew the machines
safety certificate, providing peace of mind and
prolonged use of your machine.

purchase will extend the warranty for the

four vertical pads which move
independently to absorb the initial ‘hit’.
The ‘give’ is controlled by heavy-duty
elastic bungees. Long life foam in each
detachable scrum pad is covered with
