The Buddy Programme

Buddies are students who volunteer to introduce international students to the Swedish way
of life. As a participant in the buddy programme, you will be part of a buddy team that
consists of approximately 15-20 buddies and international students. The buddy programme
involves the possibility to participate in a variety of activities, for example, sports, parties and
travel, or just having a cup of coffee with your team members.
In order to attend the activities arranged within the buddy programme you need to enroll.

Minor Field Studies (MFS)
To be eligible for a MFS-scholarship you have to:
· have completed at least 150 hp when you start your project.
· be a Swedish citizen or have a permanent visitors permit i Sweden.
· have been a permanent resident for at least a year in Sweden, if you are a citizen of
another nordic country and not a Swedish citizen.
· have a good knowledge in English and in some cases also in French, Spanish and
Portugese.
· you must not have started your PhD studies
· you may not have received a previous MFS grant
More requirements:
· you have to study a relevant developmental issue
· the field study have to take place in a developing country and have a duration of at least 2
months
· the MFS-report have to be written in English, French, Spanish or Portugese
· as an author you need to have one supervisor in Sweden and one contact person at the
field site
· you must have a personal insurance policy (responsibility of your institution)
· everybody selected for a MFS-scholarship must participate in a two day preparatory
course
Internship – practice – trainee??
• Internship: Exchange of service between a person

stipendiet. Ansökningar om Erasmuspraktikstipendiet handläggs tre ggr var termin

• Sidas resestipendium riktar sig till studenter och nyutexaminerade vid
högskolan som antagits till obetald praktik inom internationella organisationer,
företrädesvis FN:s och EU:s institutioner.
• Witec vänder sig till kvinnliga studenter inom naturvetenskap, teknik och IT med
möjligheter till praktikplats på företag i Europa.
• IASTE hanterar praktikplatser inom främst teknik, naturvetenskap, arkitektur,
medieteknik och ekonomi.
• Inom Norden har du möjlighet att få ett stipendium genom
Nordplusprogrammet.
• AISEC är en internationell studentorganisation som erbjuder olika möjligheter

Tieto is one of the largest IT service providers in Europe with activities in more
than 20 countries, aprox 13.000 employers. Seminar in May 9th – will be
