Bo has shot competitively
over a wide range – from
NRA Junior Small Bore to
Cowboy Action to Sporting
Clays, as well as being a lifelong hunter. A graduate
of the Trinidad State College Gunsmithing program,
Bo worked as a professional gunsmith from 1982 until
joining XS® (then Ashley Outdoors) in 1999 to provide
in-house installation, service and assistance with R&D.
Taking up a role in technical support, his firearms
knowledge and his belief in doing right by the customer
have helped bring our level of customer support to one
of the highest in the industry.

Though only 26 years old, B.J. Norris
has already won 4 USPSA National Junior
titles, earning a Gold Medal with the
U.S. National team in 2008, and winning
the prestigious World Speed Shooting
Championship in 2011. Now a member
of the Wilson Combat Shooting team,
B.J. has branched out into 3 Gun,
competing in both Outlaw matches and
the 3 Gun Nation Pro Tour.
Monte Long
Monte focuses primarily on Outlaw 3 gun,
with some USPSA and IDPA thrown in for
good pistol practice. Over the past
10 years he has steadily increased his
finish level to the top 20 in major matches
while using the XS® Big Dot® on his
handguns, and XS® vent rib sights on
his shotguns. Monte is our production
manager and longtime Team XS® member!
Josh Lentz
Josh’s main focus is revolver shooting.
He competes regularly in USPSA,
IDPA, ICORE and Steel Challenge.

At this intensive hands-on workshop, attendees will receive basic
through advanced training techniques for Lights, Sights & Lasers
and their application under demanding real-world conditions.
This program focuses on dynamic movement, reaction time
enhancement, compressed distance and unconventional shooting
positions. Through demanding drills – many proprietary to
Khyber – attendees will train under conditions outside their
current comfort zone, confronting them with new challenges and
maximizing skills.
THIS IS NOT A BASIC SHOOTING PROGRAM. This program is
intended for safe, sound and experienced shooters. Focusing on
law enforcement, tactical officers and firearm instructors assigned
to specialty details/assignments.

Installing XS® Sights
Self-Install
Local Gunsmith Install
Some of our sights are simple enough that customers can install
themselves. To help determine if you can do the installation yourself,
we have videos on our website of the installation process for many
of our sight sets.
Installation of most of our sights is fairly simple if you have some
basic shop skills. If you don’t, using a $60-90-120 set of sights and
a $400-500-600+ firearm as your first attempt is not recommended.
If in doubt, get a professional to do it. If your gunsmith has
questions or needs any technical information, we will be happy to
supply it before, during or after the sale. Call our toll-free tech line

Gun Manufacturer Install
Several gun manufacturers’ custom shops such as Kahr® and
North American Arms® offer XS® Sight upgrade installations
from their factories.
XS® Factory Installation Service
Even if you do have a good local gunsmith, the best
ones usually have a large backlog of work, which
is one of the reasons we now offer installation
services. On semiautomatic pistols, all we need
is the slide. On those pistols that don’t require
machining – something like a dovetail – the installation fee is about
$40 + the sights + return S&H. If a dovetail cut or other machine
work is required, those fees begin at $70 + the sights + return
S&H. In most cases, our turnaround time is two weeks (if the sights
requested are in stock), not including shipping time. Answers to

CSAT Combat Sight Alignment
AR-15 Rear Sight Aperture
Zeroing Procedure
At 7 yards, fire a 3-5 round group at the target with the sights
aligned similar to that of shooting a pistol.
Adjust the sights so that the rounds impact where your front sight is
holding on the target.
Once zeroed at 7 yards, move back to 100 yards and fire 3 rounds
at your target with the 6 o’clock or center hold sight alignment using
the PEEP sight. Adjust your sights accordingly to make sure your
rounds hit where you want them to.
Use the small aperture for
100-yard zero.

• When the shooter focuses on the front sight, the
XS® Ghost-Ring will become a fuzzy ghost-like image.
• Even though the XS® Ghost-Ring is fuzzy, the shooter’s
eye still centers the front sight in the Ghost-Ring.
