Bloomington Gold Corvettes USA Coming To IMS in June 2016
“The Granddaddy of Corvette Shows,” will make its
inaugural appearance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
from June 23-25th, 2016. The nation’s most prestigious
and longest-running all-Corvette show will include a
gigantic one-of-a-kind display of Corvettes with many of
the world’s most valuable and collectable Corvettes
available for judging on Friday, June 24, and Saturday,
June 25.
For more information on the Bloomington Gold Corvettes
USA show at IMS, visit the organization’s website at
bloomingtongold.com. When tickets go on sale for this
event, fans will have three quick, convenient methods to
buy tickets:
-Online: Visit www.ims.com/tickets. Tickets are available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
-Phone: Call 800-822-INDY or 317-492-6700 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday through Friday.
-In Person: Visit the IMS Ticket Office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road
and 16th Street between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday through Friday.
-Tickets for groups of 20 or more also are available. Contact the IMS Group Sales Department at 866-221-8775.

On Friday, June 3rd, Troy and Dawn Bennett have graciously opened up their home so that
the club members can gather to put together Goodie Bags and Silent Auction baskets. Club
members will meet at 6:30pm. We generally pitch in for pizza, makes for an easy clean-up
afterwards and all the work doesn’t fall on Troy and Dawn. Then we split into two groups,
some work on the Goodie Bags while the other group works on making baskets with the
donated items.

Directions: Take I65 North to the Salem Exit (Exit #7). Turn left at the end of the ramp and
stay in your left hand lane. Turn left at Payne Koehler (Across from KFC). Follow Payne
Koehler to 2nd stop sign where is dead ends into County Line Rd and turn left onto County
Line Road. From County Line Rd. you will take a quick right onto Payne Koeler (yes, there
are two Payne Koehler’s). Go about two blocks and turn left into Wolf Lake subdivision and
then turn left onto E. Lobo Ridge (the turn is just past the entrance). Troy and Dawn’s house

Corvette Somernites Cruise – Somerset, KY
July 22nd &23rd
Our club has attended this two day car cruise in beautiful and historic Somerset, KY many times. Butch
Hume our president thinks it’s time we head back to Somerset’s “Corvette Somernites Cruise Show”
this year. Somerset is recognized as “The Car Cruise Capital of Kentucky” and is home of Somernites
Cruise, the largest monthly classic car show in the state. Admission to this event is FREE. There will be
door prize drawings for participants as well as events happening throughout the day.
This event starts out with “Friday Night Thunder” on the strip from 6pm-10pm. It is held at Somerset
Mall (stoplight #23 on US 27). Walmart and Somerset Mall have teamed up to make the traditional
Friday Night pre-cruise event even bigger and better than before. Expect even more of what you have
