Seldom do we start a cruise
in the rain, yet we had five hardy Corvette Club members bring out their
pride and joys for a little camaraderie and enjoy a Marshall Cruise

I had a really fine time. We ate at
the Cajon-Tex restaurant. Craig and
Dale joined us little later. Good time
for all.

MINUTES FOR THE JULY 2012 TOGCC CLUB MEETING
July 3, 2012
President, Jim Spearman, called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.
New members, Dan & Eileen Finkelstein of Troup were introduced and welcomed to club. They
have a 2012 orange gran sport coupe.
Sheryl read the minutes from the June meeting. Motions were made to accept the minutes.
Jim Spearman gave the treasurer’s report in Linda’s absence which reflected a club balance of
$6,081.59 as of June 30, 2012. A motions were made to accept the treasurer report.
CLUB BUSINESS:
Russ Shepard brought up ideas to use some of the money in bank account. One suggestion was
a club flag at the Corvette Museum. Other suggestions were made and decided that we will discuss more at future meetings.
Russ brought up sending the newsletter as a link to website.
ACTIVITIES:
July 14th – Marshall Cruise Night
July 21st – A&J’s Fish House, Lake Fork Dinner Cruise
Aug 9th-12th - Winter Park, Vettes of the Rockies
Oct 4th-7th – Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend, Eureka Springs, AR
Oct 13th – Vettes on the Square, Granbury
Oct 27th – Tentative date for shrimp boil
Dec 1st – Tentative date for Christmas party
PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES:
June 2nd – 2nd Annual Big Cypress Corvette, Jefferson Texas
TOGCC had 12 -13 cars. Around 100 vettes. Dennis won 50/50
June 9th – Marshall Cruise Night
June 16th – Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & Corvette Show in Arcadia
4 cars from TOGCC went. John Pierce won People’s Choice. Russ won door prize, $50 Walmart gift
card
50/50 drawing went to Dale Wallace in the amount of $21.50
Motions made to adjourn meeting at 7:30 p.m.

I always enjoy meeting up at Peters for various runs that we take. The large inventory of all the beautiful
cars and trucks at Peters, it just feels good to be there. On this day TOGCC had 13 Corvettes meet and
convoy to A.J.’s Fish House at Lake Fork, where we met up with 4 more TOGCC Corvettes.

In July there were 2 raffle winners
1. Build your own 2013 427 Convertible, won by Brian Granger of Queensbury, NY, ticket
#581 out of 748 sold, of possible 1,000.
2. 2013 60th Anniversary Grand sport Corvette, won by Thomas Alvy of Hendon, VA, Sold
1657 out of 1994 tickets.

1, Build Your Own ZO6 or GS with $60,000 Cash Option, Thursday, August 2 at 2 PM.
Limited to 1,500 tickets At $150 per ticket.
2. Build Your Own GS with $50,000 Cash Option, Thursday, August 16 at 2 PM. Limited to
1994 tickets at $100 per ticket.
3. 427 Convertible Corvette Raffle, Friday August 31 at 4 PM. Limited to 1,000 tickets at
$250 per ticket.
4. Black Convertible Raffle, Saturday, Sept 1 at 3:30 PM. Unlimited tickets at only $10.

It’s Still Not Too Late!
August 4th we are making our once a year run to Skyline Drive between Talihena, OK and
Mena, AR. Spending the August 4th night at Sun Country Inn 877-394-7477 an Mena, AR.

in Longview, Texas for the
Monthly TOGCC Club Meeting.
Restaurant is at the intersection of highway 259 and highway 80. Come early and join
us for dinner and great company. Restaurant starts seating at 5:45 pm and the Club
Meeting starts at 6:30. See you there!!!!!
