A healthy sleep is the basic presumption for a
healthier organism. In average, people sleep
up to 25 years in total (in other words, a third
of their lives). We are all aware that our daily
efficiency mostly depends on a good rest. As a
result of a bad sleep our mind capabilities are
decreasing, our body is getting heavier, sicker,
we get more depressed and nervous than
usual. Besides all the facts, a secret to leading
a successful life lies within a regular rhythm
and balance between being awake and active
and resting and relaxing. We need to absorb
the best habit of sleeping and resting during

A bed follows us from birth until death. We are
born, we grow, we love, rest and refresh, think and
loaf in a bed. It is a well-known fact that there are
truly only two most important things in the world:
a good bed and a good pair of shoes because when
we are not in bed, we are walking in our shoes. The
biggest condition of achieving a good sleep is an
appropriate bed system with a capability to adjust
itself individually to the positions and senses of
our body. The bed and its elements (a mattress,
support, pillow and cover) should be made of
natural materials which contain a high level of
endurance, flexibility, comfort, healthy climate
of warmth and moisture conductivity. These
elements must be mutually coordinated according
to the needs, habits and individual characteristics
of each sleeper – thus quality interactions of
elements which make human senses satisfied and

The environment that surrounds us is very significant for getting

patterns and was conducted on 400 examinees resulted in 140

The ISO 9001:2008 certificate proves that the quality management system is congruent
with the norm demands and regulations. The certificate also testifies that the company has

Öko-tex standard 100
The European certificate for textile usage proves that the product do not contain unhealthy
compounds and chemicals, that they are ecologically acceptable and that they can be in
constant touch with human skin. Almost every material made of textile fibres, such as woven
and unwoven fabric, knitting, etc., which is used in the BERNARDA production owns Oko-Tex
Standard 100 certificate.
Medically tested
It has been medically confirmed through chemical tests, which included thorough simulations
of interaction between a textile and human skin, that materials do not contain harmful
chemical values and compounds; in other words, the materials can be in constant reaction touch with human skin.
The Croatian Registry of Boats and Ships

TENCEL® knitting (Jersey)
The Tencel fibres are as smooth as silk, as strong as
polyester, as easy to maintain as acryl and as cold
and refreshing as flax. They are as warm as wool and
absorb more moisture than cotton doeas. The Tencel
fibres are synthetic fibres based on cellulose (wood)
and they integrate all positive characteristics of
known natural and synthetic fibres. These fibres pride
themselves with an extreme softness and silky look,
great ability of the air exchange, quick absorption,
moiusture transport and heat keeping. Having all
these characteristics, the TENCEL fibres do not attract
bacteria and prevent their growth. At the same time
by means of thermoclimate regulation and destruction
of bacteria, prevention refers to maggots too; thereby
the Tencel fibres pride themselves with a guarantee
of a top antibacterial and anti-allergic capacity and an
utter feeling of freshness.
SISAL
The Sisal is a protector made of natural agave fibres
and gives the mattress an extreme air exchange
capability, flexibility and good hygiene due to its
quick moisture absorption and release. For the same
reasons these materials do not contain unpleasant
smells. The fibres are additionally secured with latex,
to gain a better flexibility and long-lasting capability.
CELLPUR - the Cellpur is a cold moulded foam with a
good air and moisture exchange capability (absorption
- release). It is achieved by specially formed cells
during the very founding process. The cells with its
peculiar shape work as moisture reservoirs and very
efficiently absorb and release it. The Cellpur is classed
among highly flexible foams which last much long
and contain a high level of resistance tawards many
mechanical influences than usual PU foam does. It is
also made of a cellulose natural basis.

SIMBA mattress is a soft type of mattress intended for children up to 10 years
of age. The lining made of ABAKA fibers covered with jute textile, a natural
material of herbal origin, gives the mattress a top-quality softness of anatomic
and ergonomic characteristics which correspond to the needs of a child. Thanks
to the usage of ethereal herbal essences in fibers, the ABAKA mattress contains
aroma-therapy effects which contribute to the physical and mental health of

Since boats/ships contain rather small areas for placing beds/mattresses, we often come
across situations where mattresses are installed without a quality slate system; in other words –
without slates. When we talk about a quality slate system, we think of a system which meets the
standards of two basic characteristics which are required in a boat/ship:

THE BERNARDA MARINE: the new generation of flexible mattress supports

The slat system for mattresses is based on so called Latoflex system, especially designed
for boat/ship beds. With the usage of so called latoflex element units (lattices made of
glulam) which are fasten with specially designed plastic spring flange, the flexibility of slates
is increased, thus allowing the so called latoflex element units to move independently.
Without any need for fastening the units within a bed frame, the circulation of air is
frequent, hence creating a healthy hygienic atmosphere. Since the flange spring units are
mutually connected, there is no need to fasten them within a bed frame. The junction
between the elements is “soft” and the slates can be easily removed by rolling (in case you
need to use the space under the mattress), thus taking up the minimum amount of space.
By its simple construction and usage of practical materials this type of a system does
not require a great knowledge to be installed.

To achieve the max-imum flexibility of various segments and layers, we use as
a basis plastic spring elements which create a web with their related linking units.
Segmen-tal (dotted) flexibility which is achieved by this system allows the maximum
adjustment of a mattress according to any changes of a body position to gain a
completely natural relaxed position.
The units are produced in two basic types of rigidity: soft and medium hard. The
level of rigidity can be individually increased according to buyer’s wishes in any desired
zones by installing dragging elements within the system.
With a simple combination of these types of element rigidity, it is very easy to
determine which zones can be made more rigid than the others.
The basic spring element is 13x13 cm in size, designed for the inner surface of
slates, and smaller spring elements (13x5 cm) are used on curved or asymmetrical
edges (these are mostly used in boat/ship beds). These smaller units are used to
design and produce the most complicated shapes of slates.
By combining the bigger and smaller spring elements which are installed on the
bed basis, it is possible to isolate the openings on the basis which make the elements
completely functional with no need to remove the slates while using the storage under
the mattress. This type of a system is especially practical for boats/ships because it is
made of materials resistant to moisture, water, salt and the sun. Thanks to its compact
web structure, this type of slates ensure the maximum circulation of air within the
mattress, a quality health and hygienic conditions in a room. With its height of only
40 mm this system does not occupy a lot of space and there is no need for a special
knowledge while installing it to the bed.

During sleep, by means of body movement and pressure, the capsules (the size

This bed is recognizable for its multi-functionality
and can be used as a classic bed or reclining sofa,
while it can simultaneously be used for storing
bed linen, blankets, pillows and others.
All available types of textiles and ECO leather are
included in our offer and can be manufactured in
the following standard dimensions:
- length dimensions: 190 / 200 / 210 / 220 cm
- width dimensions: 80 / 90 / 100 cm
These dimensions refer to the dimensions of bed
mattress, while the external dimensions of the
bed, including the rails, are somewhat bigger. An
example:
- bed mattress dimensions: 200 x 90 cm
- external bed dimensions: approx 226 x 100 cm
The height of the bed together with standard feet

This pillow is completely designed according to
anatomical and biological needs of a person. It
optimally supports and equally positions the spine.
It can also be one of the main parts and preventions
against various spinal core illnesses (such as neck
pains, migraines, vertigo or shivers). The Sleepyhead
pillow is made of thermo sensitive Visco memory
foam with inbuilt polyurethane spiral spring to
achieve an optimal support and steadfast position of
the neck and spine. These springs act like air pumps
along the whole pillow: the spiral springs push out
the humid air under pressure and retract the fresh
air back in (achieving excellent moisture conductivity
inside the pillow).

Feather and Fluff Pillows
These pillows are waterproof and quilted with a double
edge. The color of the Keper coverlet (100% cotton)
is white. The pillows can be washed at 40°C and is
suitable for drying in the drier. We recommend the
usage of a few tennis balls when drying in the drier.

Fluff Quilts
All fluff quilts are sawn larger than they are due
to their shrinkage while washing and are welt
with a fine stripe. They are washed at 40°C. The
coverlet is made of 100% cotton satin.Navlaka je
od 100% satenskog pamuka. The color is white.
We recommend the usage of a few tennis balls
when drying in the drier.
The fluff is a soft layer under feathers, often
plucked off live geese or ducks.
The feathers and fluff have the highest quality
insulation. They are used in manufacturing of light
bute very wamr bedding (pillows, quilts). Carefully
processed, fearhers and fluff bedding retains its
high quality insulation for a long period of time,
and due to its soft texture it is very comfortable.

novelty can simply be turned over according
to the season providing the optimal climate
in bed and an excellent comfort during
the whole year. The world novelty called
CLIMACHANGE revolutionises sleeping.
These new and noble quilts and pillows
have two different sides which ensure the
ideal climate in bed during the whole year
- thanks to the special process technique
and the differences of the high - quality
textile and filling material. Based on the
high - quality planned cassette systems, the
quilt can be simply turned over, depending
on the needs for warmth and the type of
season. If it is warm, the summer side of
the CLIMACHANGE quilt drains the warmth
from the body, into so called “cassette”
which opens upwards, enabling the body
heat extraction through interstices. This
way we stop egregious overheating.
However, on the winter side of the quilt the
principle has an opposite reaction: “The
cassettes” are closing and becoming the

How does ERGOTEST work?
The procedure is very simple. The mat is first
secured onto the bed chosen by the customer.
This enables measuring the pressure between the
body and the bed. The pressure of the surface is
shown in coloured graphics on the screen, and the
results can be printed and compared. Measured
values are processed in the program, while the
results are presented in an easily understandable
image of pressure distribution.
Using ERGOTEST measuring equipment provides a
very accurate analysis and makes finding the ideal
“dream bed” possible.
How to choose the most suitable bed for
