The patented HardCore™ beater
(B) utilizes a hard plastic core
embedded in soft foam rubber.
Players can achieve the desired
amount of attack by easily
adjusting the level of contact
the core has with the head.
When playing soft, the beater
acts much like a felt beater, but
when struck hard it has all the
attack of a hard plastic or wood
beater ball.
a combination of settings at the cam (A) and Bow Action
retaining plate, the B.O.A. can be tweaked in almost limitless
ways. Whether you desire longer throw, additional torque
or varied rebound, all can be easily accomplished using a
standard drum key or hex wrench. Even B.O.A.’s toe clamp
mechanism can be slid back and forth to compensate for
varying bass drum hoop depths.
Combine all of these advancements with a precise directdrive cam, frictionless bearing-buffered axle and HardCore™
beater (B), and we’re certain B.O.A. technology will change
the way you think about pedals.
