Butler Farms - Page 1
We would like to welcome each of you back to
the farm for the 2nd Annual Butler Farms Apple Harvest
Production Sale. Last year we where very fortunate to
have a great crowd on hand for our 1st Annual Sale and
reports have been great from our valued customers on
how there purchases produced for them. When we first
sat down and decided to have our own sale we decided
that it was vital that we produce cattle that excel as
well as an atmosphere sale weekend which will help
our customers to excel.
Thus this year we worked with Purina in order
to put together the Tri-State Show Cattle Fitting Challenge which will take place at the farm on October 10,
2015 starting a 8:00 am with registration. This event
will consist of feeding tips from local Purina feed representatives as well as a hands on grooming demonstration from Kirk Stierwalt. We will also be hosting
a fitting contest in conjunction with this event. Please
make sure you bring your whole family to the farm
October 10th to take part in this educational as well as
fun event!
Along with the food and educational opportunities that take place the sale weekend we also are offering a tremendous set of cattle, backed by some of the
top cow families you will find anywhere. The calves in
this sale are all halter broke and ready to go showing
while the bred heifers in the sale this year sell safe AI
with no bull exposure. New to the sale this year is the
use of Online bidding. If you cannot make the sale and
would like to bid online feel free to do so at www.cowbuyer.com . Also we will have trailers headed West
shortly after the sale, so if you need cattle dropped off
in the midwest be sure to let us know and we will find
a ride for your purchases.
We would like to thank you for your interest
in our program and we look forward to seeing each of
you October 10 & 11 in Inwood, WV.

Armada - Full Sibling to Lot 1
What a way to lead off the 2nd Annual Apple Harvest Production Sale at Butler Farms. Lot 1 represents a female
who is backed by a stellar cow family who has produced the AI sire Armada, who is a full sibling to Lot 1, a Champion
steer at the Iowa State Fair Governors Charity Steer Show, as well as a Champion female at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
This particular I-80 daughter is long spinned, striking on the profile, and has added shag hair, and a powerful foot and
bone set. We really think that this young lady may be as good a heifer as we have ever raised and October 11th is your
opportunity to allow this young lady to find her way towards the top of your show barn and pasture.

Herd Bull Prospect
Here is a pair of very unique PB Maine Anjou breeding pieces. If you study the pedigrees on this pair you will
quickly notice that they are both Purebred Maine’s with absolutely no ties to Ali or I-80 which will only add to the
value that these two will create in the pasture. The Lot 2 heifer is long and sleek fronted, with ample rib shape, and
is extremely efficient and correct when you get her into motion. We really think that this heifer will make a stand out
donor cow as soon as her show career is finished. Lot 3 is the bull of the mating who is bold in his rib shape, clean
fronted, and stands strong on his feet and legs. Both of these breeding pieces are out of one of the leading Maine donor
females for Kerry Lawrence, which will only add to there value moving forward.

This half-blood Simmental/Mainetainer show heifer prospect has been pretty special since day one. You are
sure to appreciate the depth of body, striking profile, and added body that this young lady possesses, not to mention the
fact that her dam is one of the most consistent producers of quality on our farm year in and year out. We are extremely
excited about the possibilities presented with this young breeding piece, once her show career is over you can mate
her for Club Calves, High Percentage Maine or Simmental progeny which will make it pretty easy to produce a healthy
return on this show heifer. Be sure you are in attendance to take advantage of this extra special heifer.

Miss USA is a heifer who’s future is as bright as
her tremendous past. If you study this heifer’s pedigree
you will note that her grand dam is the great WAG Hairetta who is one of the only Million dollar producing cows
in the club calf business, while her dam Miss USA is a
past Triple Crown winner and dam of multiple Champions at all levels of competition. This particular Miss USA
daughter is trim necked, bold in her rib shape, and has a
near perfect skeletal design. I’m sure that this heifer will
make a great show heifer, but her real value will come in
production as she will follow in her families footsteps of
producing top end genetics that hold value at all levels of
production.

A golden ticket opportunity awaits the winning

two full siblings by Whizard are out of an Irish Whiskey
daughter who produced the 2015 West Virginia State
Fair Reserve Supreme Female. These bulls are big footed, sound structured, and have a forage efficient eye-appealing build. The hardest decision to make is which bull
to choose, or best yet keep these two together and add
consistency to your calf crop. Excellent genetics both on

Here is our show heifer from this past summer,
and what a job she did in our program. Miss Molly was
selected the Reserve Champion Maine Female at the 2015
WV State Fair. Not only has Molly excelled in the show
ring she has also done her job as a cow, having settled
safe AI to the now deceased Jesse James for an early calf.
Molly is a deep sided heifer who has added flex when you
get her on the move, you can expect big things from this
outstanding bred female.
