M1942 REINFORCED PARATROOPER’S SUIT
This is the jump suit worn on D-Day in the Normandy campaign.
The airborne was issued the standard M1942 jump suit but before
the Normandy invasion the paratrooper riggers reinforced the suits.
Our suits have all the modifications of the originals.
Jacket features:
- Reinforced patches on the elbows.
- Reinforced lower jacket pockets.
- Waist belt.
- Double press stud closure on the pockets.
- Double press studs on the sleeve cuffs.
- Shoulder epaulettes.
- Throat pocket for the M2 pocket knife. This pocket has a zip on
both sides so you can access it easily.
- The jacket is fastened by a zip.
- On the back there are 3 vertical gussets which allow for extra
movement.
Trouser features:
- Reinforced patches on the knees,
- Reinforced cargo leg pockets.
- Leg ties around leg pockets.

M43 PARATROOPER’S SUIT
After the Normandy landings the M1942 jump suit was replaced by the M43 combat suit and
was issued for Holland and Bastogne. During the war the US Army decided it needed to cut
back on the many specialist uniforms so they issued the M43 uniform to both Infantry and
Airborne troops.
The Paratroopers found the carrying capacity too limited so modified the trousers by adding a
large cargo pocket and a set of leg ties on each leg. This not only gave them the extra carrying
capacity they needed, but made them stand out from the Infantry. In Holland the invasion flag
brassard was worn on the arm.

These steel helmets are painted on the sides with an Airborne unit designation and come
complete with all the special paratrooper modifications:
- Paratrooper model canvas chinstrap with the metal snaps on each end to clip securely into
the liner.
- Paratrooper model liner which has green canvas ‘A’ frames on each side and has the metal
fitting to allow the above chinstrap to fasten into it.

M2 POCKET KNIFE
The original M2 was designed to be opened
one handed so it was designed as a
switchblade. It was carried in the neck
pocket of the M42 jump jacket and the idea
was that if you got into difficulty when you
landed by being entangled, you could cut
yourself free from suspension straps and
risers. This replica has the features of the
original like the black plastic grips, lanyard
loop, blade release button and locking slide
switch. This has been made as a normal
folding knife and opens up fully although it
does not work as a switchblade so it is legal
to own.

The O.D. (brown) overseas garrison cap was the standard headwear for all Branches of
Service for Enlisted men in the European Theatre of Operations.
The correct material used in the manufacture of these caps is not available off the roll, so
we have had a specially commissioned run of wool made, to ensure the correct colour and
feel of the war time ones. These are the best Garrison caps available. Every Branch of
Service had their own coloured piping on the hat, blue being the most widely used by all
Infantry units including the Airborne.

leather reversed, (flesh side out) which
