PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2014 // 6-13 September
Like, Comment, SHARE...
Design is back this fall with PARIS DESIGN WEEK
With an extra day, a programme that coordinates with the MAISON&OBJET Paris
professional show and ‘sharing’ as a new theme, the fourth annual PARIS DESIGN
WEEK is a date that should be marked on everyone’s fall calendar.
For eight days, Paris becomes the world capital of design
Scheduled for Saturday, 6th September, through Saturday, September 13th, the
latest edition of PARIS DESIGN WEEK, in synergy with MAISON&OBJET PARIS, is
extended by one day to give as many people as possible the chance to discover
and celebrate the latest in design and creation.
This fiercely free and open-to-all event has a superb line-up in store:
• pop-up scenographies and events in more than 200 Paris venues;
• the work of 100 emerging designers from 15 countries presented on the
stage of now! le Off at Les Docks – Cité de la Mode et du Design;
• parties and evening events in the showrooms and participating venues in
Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Friday 5th), Le Marais (Saturday 6th), Étoile-Opéra
(Monday 8th) and Les Docks – Cité de la Mode et du Design (Thursday 11th);
• an unprecedented panorama of international design in Paris and new partnerships with Design Weeks in Berlin, Tokyo, Mexico, Singapore, and elsewhere.
‘Sharing’ in the spotlight
Sharing is this year’s theme, celebrating the event’s founding values.
PARIS DESIGN WEEK is now, more than ever, a bridge between the world of professionals and the general public. The event stands firm in its goal of making design
more accessible, steering clear of intellectualism and preconceived notions, while
enhancing the international reputation of Parisian creativity.
A meaningful, twofold approach that is perfectly timed, just as the new collections reach the stores and buyers and trend-setters from around the world come
together in Paris.
