Mixed Martial Arts World Amateur Championship kicks off March 27 By SportzPower Team Published: 13 Mar 2009 - 18:11 MUMBAI: Mixed Martial Art World Championship Tuff - N - Uff will kick off from 27th March with entire show stacked with great match-ups with some of the best male and female amateur talent in MMA. Tuff-N-Uff puts three world championship titles on the line with a final showdown for the 135-pound belt and two semi-finals for the 155-pound and 170-pound titles. Headlining the 18-bout card, Junior Gomez of Hawaiian Fighting Arts will defend the honor of the Aloha State against Jamie Hernandez of West Coast MMA in a Tuff-N-Uff world championship bout for the 135-pound title. Meanwhile, the four-man 170-pound semi finals has Bill “The Grill” Cooper pitted against Kenny Marzolla. Cooper is a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and finished his first two fights by first round submission. Marzolla is also undefeated at 2-0 and won each fight by TKO in the first round. This should be a very explosive bout as they both are looking to remain undefeated and the winner will compete for the Tuff-N-Uff world championship title belt on April 24 The second semi-finals will pit Joshua Anderson from Centennial Taekwondo against Eddie Jackson out of Legends training in Los Angeles. Anderson won his first fight by split decision and Jackson won his last fight by third round TKO.
