Mary was the first National and World coach for Ice Castle who brought international skaters to train here. A British champion and World team member, she has expertise in all disciplines of figure skating and has enhanced the training programs of many World and Olympic competitors, including champions of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Africa and the United States. Other accomplishments include: USFSA judge and Junior World team leader. Mary offers a complete package for testing and competition skating and accepts all levels of skaters. Doug has been coaching for 23 years at Ice Castle. He has trained all levels of skaters, including National and International competitors. Doug utilizes both his Ice Dance and Freestyle experience to improve skaters' jump technique, artistry, footwork, edge quality and power. Well known for his technique and style with “Moves in the Field,” Doug has coached many skaters up through the Senior moves test. He has been featured in many ice shows, including Symphony on Ice and Disney's Hits on Ice. Anthony, as a two-time Olympian and six-time World Competitor is known as one of the best jumping technicians in the world. With his powerful skating and speed, he is the first skater to land a quad triple combination competition for Australia. Anthony wants to share all his experience and jumping ability with new and upcoming skaters. He coaches all levels of freestyle and jumps, power skating and speed. He also offers off-ice jump classes. Igor is a Moscow and USSR Spartakiada Cup Pairs Gold Medalist, a Germany Grand Prix Pairs Bronze Medalist, Junior National USSR Pairs Bronze Medalist and has won or placed in numerous other Russian and international pairs events. He was a member of the USSR Junior National Team for four consecutive years. He received his Masters Degree in the Academy of Sport in Moscow. Igor served as the National Olympic Coach of Israel in 1998 and as coach on the 2003 US Junior National Team. He coaches all aspects of singles and pairs, including program development. Galina Bushkova, a Russian Figure Skating Federation certified professional, has over 20 years of international coaching experience in Russia, Germany, Italy and the United States, and has also produced ice shows along with special events for figure skating competitions. She has a Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training specializing in Figure Skating from the Academy of Physical Culture and Sport in St Petersburg. Additionally, she is certified in classical and sports massage. At Ice Castle, Galina is the director of the Olympic Hopefuls training program for young and talented students, as well as teaching various levels of skaters in both ISI and USFSA, including skaters who want to enter this sport as adults. Michelle has danced professionally in the US and Europe and was the Ballet Mistress for the Harbingers Dance Company. Mrs.Mills has worked with figure skating champions in singles, pairs and dance for over 25 years. Rafael has developed a highly-respected reputation because of his technical skills and his students’ performances on both national and international levels. Mr. Arutyunyan has coached many national and world-class competitors throughout his career, including 5-time World Champion Michelle Kwan and Russian National Champion Alexander Abt. His most recent students, Jeffrey Buttle and Mao Asada, claimed the 2008 Men’s and Ladies World Champion titles, respectively. Choreographer for 18 World Championships and 4 Olympic Games competitors. Phillip has been a continued force in the creative journey of the sport of figure skating singles, pairs, and dance. Mr. Mills has choreographed for champions from 16 different nations as well as Michelle Kwan, Sasha Cohen, Tara Lipinski and World Champion Jill Trenery. Andrey received his Masters Degree in Physical Education from the St. Petersburg States Academy and utilizes this background in preparing his students for competitive figure skating. Together with partner Marina Eltsova, Andrey is a six-time Russian National Champion, two-time European Champion and World Pair Champion. Andrey also represented Russia at the 1998 Olympics. Utilizing his experience, Andrey has taught both national and international competitors including Italian Junior National Champion Federicka Constantini and American Junior Pairs team Lyndsy and Andy Seitz. He joined the Ice Castle as a staff coach in 2005. Nadia was a Russian National Team member for six consecutive years at both the Novice and Junior levels. She has apprenticed as a coach under the tutelage of Elena Vodorezova and is currently assistant coach to Rafael Arutyunyan. Under such guidance Nadia has developed a wide repertory of coaching skills involving jumps, spins, footwork and choreography. Her students have included two-time Japanese National Champion and current World Champion Mao Asada and her sister, Mai Asada. For many years Larisa worked with skaters from the Bulgarian, Czechoslovakian and German National Teams. She was the Coach and Art Director of the Chinese National Team for 8 years and her students have had many accomplishments; a top three finish at the 1997 World Junior Champions; top seven finish at the 2004 World Championships, Silver Medalist at the 2009 Four Continents Competition and Gold Medalist at the Winter University Games. Larisa coaches all areas of figure skating technique, artistic dance and off-ice stretching With over 17 years experience, Andria is a PSA rated coach and has coached all level skaters including Junior, National and International skaters. She has an extensive training background in freestyle, choreography, moves in the field and ice dance. Andria's approach utilizes the efficiency of movement, promoting accelerated development while still protecting the skater's physical development. Her technique is recognized both nationally and internationally. Available July 8 to August 4. Kori is a PSA Master Rated coach with over 10 years of competitive coaching experience. She teaches many high level skaters including, 2010 US Junior Champion and winner of the 2011 Junior Grand Prix Final, Jason Brown. With a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University in Chicago, Kori utilizes her background knowledge along with her expertise as a technical specialist to help upcoming skaters improve their skills.
