JUNE 2015
ISO9001:2008 - ISO Audit 2015
The Shop Rag
MANTZ AUTOMATION, INC.
Claire Welch was here May 18th - 20th for
our recent surveillance audit. Once again
Claire was impressed with the cleanliness
and organization of both of our shops. She
noted that our employees are happy, take
pride in their work, and treated her well. We
received 2 minor non-conformances:
1.) One of the Hartford toolmakers had an
outdated copy of a customer’s specs in his
toolbox, and in Fond du Lac, outdated customer guidelines kept in an office binder
were not marked ’Obsolete’.
2.) Annual preventive maintenance of production machinery is not being documented
in the database. Both of these were deemed
minor non-conformances.
We are now in the process of submitting formal Corrective Actions to keep our
ISO9001:2008 certification.
Please discard all outdated customer specs
from your toolboxes / work areas.
Check Engineering for current customer
standards.
Thanks!

Safety: Breaking Records!
Mantz Automation employees have been
breaking our old Safety Days records and are to
be congratulated for being conscientious and
for being on the look-out for any potential hazards.
The new records for both plants are as follows:
Hartford:
Fond du Lac:
702 Days
1,273 Days
Time to Tee - Up For Some FUN!
A couple of occasions are coming up soon
which should bring smiles to many faces of
Mantz Automation employees and their families. First, we will be having a much-valued
employee outing at the Hartford Golf Club on
Sunday morning, June 28th. Range balls at
7AM and Tee-Off at 8AM. This is our 19th
Annual GMO (Greater Mantz Open!) and there
is still time to sign up. See Todd for more information. The signup sheet is located next to the
computer by the employee entrance in Hartford
and anyone who still wants to sign up from
Fond du Lac can call in and talk to anyone in
the Front Office and we’ll see that your name is
added. Todd is collecting the entrance fee. Looking at the signup
sheet, we already have enough for
12 teams, but we always like to have
more join in the fun and the prizes.
In July, specifically on
Saturday, July 25th,
Mantz Automation employees and their families
will be attending our
Company Picnic at the Washington County Fairgrounds in West Bend.
Mantz employees & their families are welcome
to Saz’s Hospitality Tent from 10AM - 3PM.
The lunch will be served from 12Noon - 2PM. If
you purchased wristbands for the carnival rides,
the time span for unlimited rides is between
2PM - 5PM.
Chase Bryant is the opening act and takes the
stage at 7PM to be followed shortly by country
music artist Kip Moore. Exhibits, animals, rides,
great food, music...what more could you ask for?
It sounds like a great time!
