CNY Storm All Stars
CNY Storm All Stars
2014-2015 Program Information
Founded in 1996, CNY Storm was the first All Star program in NYS and this year we will be celebrating our
19th season! There’s a reason we’ve been around this long and we want you and your family to see why!
Everyone is welcome to join our teams! Tumbling is not required for all of our teams! We offer teams for all
ages, ability levels, and family budgets! Take a few minutes to read over the enclosed details, get the facts,
and see why your child should be at CNY!
 We are the longest running and most successful program not only in Central New York and the Capital
District, but in all of NYS!
 Safe learning environment: proper equipment, proper progression of cheerleading and tumbling skills,
structured practices, proper supervision.
 Our staff are experienced, knowledgeable, nationally recognized, USASF credentialed, leaders in our
industry, judges, choreographers, and several are educators.
 Organized: everything goes out in writing, schedules are given months in advance, constant communication
and access to information all season long, regularly scheduled parent meetings, monthly financial
statements, and more.
 Fees: tuition and fees do not change during the season, there are no money surprises during or at the end of
the season. You’ll know exactly what will be due all season long by reading this packet.
 We do more than cheerleading: we offer community service activities, academic rewards, college scouting
opportunities, a family atmosphere, personalized athlete progress reports, and we teach life skills; including
the Powerful Words Character Development curriculum.
 Fundraising: Our Booster Clubs are here to help you earn money to offset your child’s expenses.
Fundraisers are offered all season long so you have the opportunity to raise as much as you would like.
Some of our families are able to fundraise their whole season!
 United States All Star Federation (USASF) member gym: we follow the USASF guidelines and
professional code of conduct, all of our athletes are USASF members, and our owner serves on the Board
of Directors.
 And there’s more: we build self-esteem and confidence, routines are age appropriate, we promote good
sportsmanship, everyone is treated the same, our program has dedicated cheerleaders, families, and staff,
and we care about your kids!

schedule open for their CNY commitments. We have team members relying on each other to be there for all Storm
commitments. Cheerleaders must be at the last two practices before a performance or competition, including the
Sundays at the end of a holiday/vacation/school breaks including, but not limited to:11/30/14, 1/4/15, 2/22/15, and
April break. Competitions may be during the February & April school breaks. Our attendance policies are strict in
order to be fair to everyone on the team. Cheerleaders cannot be a member of another all-star program while
participating on a CNY Storm team.

Don’t just take our word for it, read what some of our parents have to say about our program:
This was our first year with CNY and we had come from another gym and
we were nervous about changing but I have to say this was the best
move! My daughter Angelica has come so far and has grown so much with
all the support from all the coaches! She has made so many new
friendships and bonds!! We look forward to another year full of
excitement that CNY has to offer! Thank you all so much!!
-Chrissy Cook
For the past 6 years we have been with CNY it
has been everything and more I thought it could
be! To see my daughters grow not only as
athletes but as an individual thanks to the
dedicated and amazing coaches has truly been
heartwarming. We not only made friends but
those friends turned into family. So lucky to call
our CNY Storm family just that, family!
-Tara Hulett
When my daughter asked me if she could cheer at
age 6 there was no place other than CNY Storm I
considered taking her. 8 years prior to her
request, I was finishing my last year as a
cheerleader w/Storm on the co-ed Open team so
I knew this was the place for us. It's been an
amazing 4 years watching my daughter grow as a
cheerleader - far surpassing my ability level at
her age - as well as gain confidence, learn respect
for herself and others, and understand the true
meaning of commitment and teammates. Even at a
young age it's easy to see the bonds built and it's
wonderful as a parent to connect w/other moms
and dads on this platform. Storm goes above and
beyond to push the kids to master the skills not
only in their routine, but in their level and beyond
so they can continue to grow and be part of such
an amazing legacy - after 19 years, of producing
champions, it's obvious they are doing everything
right! -Meagan Dwyer
This has been an amazing season of growth for
my daughter. So pleased with the professional
staff, the cleanliness of the gym, the positive
encouragement that she receives, and the new
skills that she has learned. Can’t wait to see
what next season brings!
-Stevi Wilson, 1st year CNY Members
My daughter will be starting her 8th season with Storm next year and we
couldn't be happier. CNY Storm has amazing coaches who are committed
to bringing out the best in all their athletes and teams. There are so
many benefits to All-star cheer in general and to cheering at Storm in
particular! The first benefits that come to mind are pretty obvious: Amy
has become more physically fit and has gained many new skills, she has
learned to be a good teammate, and to win (and lose) with class and good
sportsmanship. Some benefits are not as obvious such as; having a place
where she can escape the drama that comes with being a teenager in a
public school, looking beyond her local area to find friends, learning to
budget her time and energy, and learning to appreciate and understand
teammates and gym mates of different ages and different interests. We
look forward to many more years at CNY Storm... come join us!
-Cassie Castle
Our daughter, (and our family) joined CNY Storm 3 years ago. There is so
much more to this organization than great All-star cheer. Teamwork,
motivation, honesty, integrity and determination are worked into life
lessons your child will take with them throughout their lives. Our whole
family truly enjoys our time with a wonderful bunch of people, families
and staff alike.
This will be my daughter's 6th year cheering at CNY. I can honestly say
these past years have been a truly great experience. The atmosphere at
the gym is always positive. The coaches and staff give the athletes
encouragement, they teach them to do their best, have fun and most
importantly teamwork. CNY is a great organization who has taught my
daughter skills, confidence and life lessons that will stay with her in
everything she does. We are looking forward to more great seasons at
CNY. -Leigh Fredenburg
Last year, I joined a cheerleading team. It's called CNY Rainbows, its a special needs team. Everyone's special need
is different. Some of the girls have autism, one girl has down syndrome, some of the girls are in wheelchairs. It
takes a lot out of me and it makes me more flexible. We have lots of practices and I never miss one competition at
all. It makes me feel good to be part of a team. I became friends with a lot of the teammates and it makes me feel
really happy. Whenever we have practices, we are so happy to see each other and we all give each other hugs like we
are family. Our team feels like a family because we know each other really well. It makes me so happy to see
everyone. Our team is a family because we all look out for each other and support each other and encouragement
each other. Whenever we do a lift, we all clap for each other and I love it so much. Right after we come down from
the lift we give high fives and say "Great job!" We are friends with each other.
