In 2013, Campbell University founded the first medical school in NC in 35 years,
and the only school of osteopathic medicine.
Campbell’s Doctor of Pharmacy students enjoy a 98% board passage rate.
The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law boasts the highest bar passage rate of

CSU is one of the few colleges in the Southeast that offers a Music Therapy program.

All cadets are required to participate in a four-year program called “The Citadel Leader
Development Program.” The objective of this program is to provide leadership training
and experience to cadets.

All cadets must enroll in senior-level ROTC (Army, Navy/Marine Corps, Air Force), but they
do not have to enter the military upon graduation.

About 40% of each graduating class chooses to enter the military as commissioned
officers after graduation.

The Citadel’s undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering become available for new
cadets in the fall of 2014.

The Citadel Regimental Band and Pipes will again participate in the Royal Edinburgh
Military Tattoo in Scotland in August 2015. This is the second time (since 2010) they have
received and invitation to be the United States’ representative to the Tattoo.

For three years in a row, U.S. News & World Report has ranked The Citadel No. 1 among

Home to the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SiMT) which is the
premiere technical service provider and training facility for industry in the Southeastern
portion of the US.

Offers a weekend college program that allows students to attend courses on Friday
evenings and Saturdays.

Offers international study opportunities. Each summer FDTC sends a group of students
with their Spanish instructor to Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Mexico, for two

Lander hosts the Call Me MISTER Program for students who have a desire to teach in
underserved, socioeconomically disadvantaged and educationally at-risk communities.
Students majoring in early childhood, elementary, or special education, or a specialty area

Lander’s Honors College also offers the Global Scholars Program, one which assists
Honors students in funding a semester abroad.
The Office of International Programs continues to grow and offer study abroad

Lander has broken ground on a new 210 bed facility featuring a floor plan in which each
room will house 2 students and have its own bathroom. The residence hall will also
include a 60-seat capacity multipurpose room and laundry facility on the first floor, as
well as study/social rooms on each of the 3 floors. The 71,000 square-foot building will
be ready for occupancy beginning Fall 2015.
Lander sponsors 11 NCAA Division II teams. The Bearcats ended the 2013-14 season with
5 nationally-ranked teams finishing 3rd overall in the PBC Commissioner Cup standings.

USCB offers the lowest tuition of all public, four-year universities in South
Carolina.

As a baccalaureate institution, students are taught by actual professors instead of
teaching assistants. Students have the opportunity to work alongside faculty
members on graduate-level sustainability research in fields such as coastal
ecology and conversation and economic tourism development.

USCB’s Computational Science degree is the only program in South Carolina for
