House of Mao Hunan Hot Pot, Orchar d
House of Mao Hunan Hot Pot, Far East Squar e
In May 2001, the The Red Book was transformed into House of Mao
Hunan Hot Pot - a trendy buffet-style Hot Pot restaurant serving
a quality selection of air-flown meats, hydroponic vegetables and
mushroom, and ocean-fresh seafood. With the attractive Mao-inspired
theme still very much in place, the restaurant continues to turn heads for
its excellent value as much as the décor. The second Hot Pot opened at
Far East in September 2001.

Teahouse at China Squar e
Replacing the original House of Mao Restaurant, the Teahouse at China
Square was launched in May 2001 to great success. Occupying the
entire third level of the China Square Food Centre, the Teahouse is a
firm favourite with the office crowds that flock to the restaurant at
lunchtime for quality Dim Sum and Chinatown favourites at affordable
prices. With its engaging ambience, old-fashioned Dim Sum trolleys and
bustling atmosphere, the Teahouse at China Square is a hot favourite
with families on the weekend as well.

LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant, Far East Squar e
After close to ten years in the basement of Orchard Towers, LingZhi
Vegetarian Restaurant made the move to Liat Towers, just a stone’s
throw away from the strategic intersection of Scotts Road and Orchard
Road. In hues of bright yellow, ‘bouquets’ of aeroponic lettuce provide
appropriate table-centrepieces, and compliment perfectly the awardwinning cuisine. In September 2002, LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant
opened a second outlet at Far East Square, bringing its restorative
goodness to the Central Business District.

heritage building known as ‘The Copperdome’, the Group took over the
management of Paddyfields in late July 2001. Following a quick
renovation to the premises, the restaurant reopened in August with the
restaurant occupying the entire second level and an enchanting new
‘chill-out’ venue on the first floor. Named for the address of the building
(368 Alexandra Road), sanliubar was the first of the Group’s forary into
the bar and beverage scene.

F&B Outlets at the Arena Country Club
In August 2001, the Group took over the management of the three Food
and Beverage outlets at the newly opened Arena Country Club, located
opposite the SAFTI Military Training institute. Of greatest prominence
was the Tung Lok Seafood Arena, the sister restaurant of the Tung Lok
Seafood Gallery at the East Coast Recreation Centre. With the same
scintillating menu of Seafood favourites, little wonder that the
restaurant has built up a loyal clientle in less than a year.

Asian Restaurant•Bar
Breathtaking. Stunning. Magnificent. These are some of the adjectives
that have been used to describe the group’s latest dining and
entertainment establishment, ASIAN Restaurant & Bar. Located in the
regal Thong Chai Medical Hall, the impressive concept features
informal al fresco and indoor dining, fine dining, an indoor bar and outdoor relaxation area all under one roof. Signature cocktails, Modern
Chinese cuisine and an outstanding ambience set the scene for one of
Singapore’s most talked-about venues.
