BOX TOPS
Earning cash for your school with Box Tops is easy! Each one is worth
10¢ for your school and you can find them on hundreds of products.
BOX TOPS COME IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES:

They don’t need to be clipped perfectly – parents can cut them neatly
or just rip ‘em off the packages and send them to school. However, it’s
very important that each Box Top clip has a clearly visible product
acronym and expiration date. Expired Box Tops don’t count towards
your school’s earnings!
Once the Box Tops are sent to school, that’s when you make the magic
happen! As a Coordinator, you’re in charge of submitting your school’s
Box Tops so your school can receive a check.
THE BEST PART? Your school can use its Box Tops cash to buy whatever
it needs.

win Bonus Box Tops. You can earn them through local grocer websites, and
with grocer loyalty cards.
eBOXTOPS™ CODES
Occasionally, parents may get a printed 16-digit eBoxTops™ code. This code
must be redeemed at BTFE.com/bonus for your school to receive credit. Do not
include eBoxTops™ codes with your Box Tops submission.

Remove any expired Box Tops clips or expired bonus certificates.
Make sure there are no Bonus Box Tops certificates attached to
your collection sheets. These must be submitted separately.
If you have any eBoxTops™ codes, do not include these in your
Box Tops submission. These codes must be redeemed online at
BTFE.com/bonus in order for your school to receive credit.

BUNDLE
Bundle your Box Tops clips into
groups of 50, using rubber bands,
envelopes or baggies. Label each
bundle with “50” on the outside.
Staple full collection sheets together
to total 50 Box Tops. Some sheets have
only 10 or 25 spaces so staple multiple
sheets together to reach 50.
Bundle all your Bonus Box Tops
certificates together.
Remember, multiple bundles of 50 can be submitted in
one package!

Use the current submission form at BTFE.com/submit.

Enter the number of Box Tops and
Bonus Box Tops that you are submitting.
The form will automatically calculate
the dollar amount for you.

unique bar code and can only be
used for one package.
If your Box Tops require more than
one package, you must print a
unique submission form for each.
Packages without submission forms
cannot be processed.
You may print an additional copy
of the submission form for your

PREPARE YOUR PACKAGE
First, staple your bundle of Bonus Box Tops
certificates to your submission form. Then, put
everything into your package in this order:
1. Box Tops clips on the bottom
2. Collection sheets next
3. Submission form and bonus certificates on top
Remember, each package must have a unique submission form
showing the number of Box Tops in that particular package.

Simple suggestions to do each month to
keep your Box Tops program on track.
AUGUST: KICK OFF YOUR YEAR
Introduce yourself to the PTO/PTA.
Ask if you can post on your school’s Facebook page to encourage parents to clip.
Ask your principal to have a Box Tops table at your school’s open house or
parent/teacher night.
Make a Box Tops bulletin board at school. Display your school’s goal poster
(download one at BTFE.com/resources), help explain the program and update
the board with your school’s earning progress.
Send home the flyers included in this kit. Find more flyers at BTFE.com/resources.
Encourage parents to sign up at BTFE.com to track your school’s earnings, get
coupons for Box Tops products and enter for chances to win Bonus Box Tops.
Start planning a fall collection contest. Get contest ideas at BTFE.com/tips.
