Response Time Performance
September 2007 marked a full year since the Clive Fire Department enhanced response capabilities with 24-hour
staffing. In September of 2006, paid-on-call staff changed from responding from home to in-station staffing on 12hour shifts. Our response force from the main station at 8505 Harbach Blvd consists of career and paid-on-call
personnel, working together to provide an in-house staff of six personnel at all-times. This staffing allowed us to
provide a more timely response of both an ambulance and a fire engine. Statistical data illustrates the
improvements in our response.
