Vapiano invests in Winterhalter technology for long term savings
03 - 2014
Vapiano invests in Winterhalter technology for long
term savings and brilliant cleaning results.
Vapiano started in Europe in 2002 and there are now more than 135 Vapiano
restaurants in 26 countries on four continents, Australia now has four, all with their
own local feel.
Based on Italian classics but with Australian flair, the restaurants source as much produce as
possible within 150KM of their venues where possible. It’s all cooked fresh with a novel card
that you scan when ordering and pay at the end. It’s something we’ve seen lots of in Asia and
the US, it looks like it will be a trend here in 2014.
Clive Burkitt of Equipment One who fitted out the venue notes:
Rob Cook, one of Vapiano’s owners was at the PT series launch in Sydney, he was impressed
by the energy saving technology. We additionally specified the Romatik RO unit for polish
free glassware which is already saving the venue money from reduced staff costs and
"Winterhalter are a market leader in energy saving products, Vapiano were prepared to invest
in the technology for significant long term savings to the business”.
