Our own member Navy Captain (O-6) Mary Kay Jacobsen, served as the Executive Officer for the Navy's Wounded Warrior program, Navy Safe Harbor. As a thank you, we presented Corporal Brady with a $100 gift check for the Project. I shutter when I think of all that I still need to do, but I am looking forward to our luminary night on December 10 and our upcoming Christmas Tea on December 14. I also await (with childlike anticipation) the excitement of Christmas morning when our grandchildren will experience Santa’s visit. As Christmas looms upon us and the frenzy of holiday shopping, decorating, cooking, parties, and special gatherings fill our calendars; let us stop to reflect on the blessings that fill our lives and give thanks. May the joy of the holiday fill your hearts and the jingle of the season not do too much damage to your pocketbook. I am personally hoping that the meals that await me will not do too much damage to my already too round figure! Last, but not least, I am not dreaming of a white Christmas. Isn’t that why we live in Florida? Have a very Merry Christmas! Mary Kendall ___________________ Welcome New Members . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
