Dear Parents/Carers,
Week 8 Term 3
Tuesday, September 2, 2014
The photos above show the parking area
specifically set aside for dropping
children off and picking children up at
CPS. The driver remains in the driver’s
seat or stays within 3 metres of the
vehicle while their passengers alight
from the vehicle. The vehicle is only
allowed in the area until such time the
passengers have alighted and are safely
on the footpath. As the sign in the first photos indicates, this area is a no parking zone from 8.00 am to 9.30 am
and from 2.30 pm to 4.00pm on school days. Please give everyone a chance to use this parking area. Your reward
is no parking infringement fine.
Kindergarten 2015 orientation days will be held on Mondays – October 13, 20 and 27, 2014. Parents/Carers
are required to complete an enrolment application and submit it to the school before the orientation days.
Applications for enrolment in K 2015 received to date will be considered in the week beginning Monday,
September 8 to Friday, September 12. Enrolment applications received after Friday, September 5 will not be
considered until the week beginning Monday, October 17. Applications that are in now, provide the information
we need in organising classes and staff for next year.
Enrolment applications are being taken for children wishing to enrol in Djanenjam Preschool – Casino Public
School in 2015. Please ask at the front office for enrolment application forms. The first round of offers to
enrol at the Djanenjam Preschool 2015 will be made on Friday, October 17. Applications for enrolment
received on or before Friday, October 10 will be considered in the first round of offers.
Completed enrolment applications for Kindergarten and Preschool are submitted through the front office.
We are more than happy to assist Parents and Carers who need help in completing enrolment applications.
The form requires lots of information and more explanation might be needed to understand what a number
of the questions are asking. Please ask us if you are not sure about answering any of the questions.
Year 6 left on their Canberra excursion on Sunday evening. They will have
a great adventure and enjoy many learning experiences on their trip
during this week.
