BUSES & SHUTTLES Take the New York Service Express Bus that runs every 15 - 30 minutes from 6:15 AM to 11:10 PM. Journey time to downtown Manhattan is 45 - 65 minutes, longer at peak hours. Cost is $7 one-way. Super Shuttle Manhattan is a shared shuttle service which brings you right to your door. Cost is $20 one way. TAXI A taxi charges a flat rate of $45 plus tolls and tips Look for the uniformed Taxi Dispatcher outside the Arrivals area. Taxis are available 24 hours a day at taxi stands in front of the terminals. Journey time to downtown Manhattan is 40 - 60 minutes, longer at peak hours. Transport From Logan Airport to Downtown Boston BUS Take the Sliver Line SL1 (MBTA) from in front of the Logan Terminals. The Silver Line SL1 runs from approximately 5:30AM to 12:30AM every day of the week. Passengers travelling on SL1 and SL2 pay the standard MBTA subway fare: $1.70 when using a CharlieCard, $2 when using cash. TRAIN The MBTA Blue line serves the Logan Airport station. MBTA subway trains run from approximately 5:30 am to around 12.30am, with services every 5-13 minutes. The train fare is $1.70 for the pre-bought MBTA CharlieCard, or $2 if bought on-board. TAXI This is the most convenient method of transport to downtown Boston. A taxi ride to downtown Boston should take about 15 – 20 minutes. The fare should average between $15 -$20 excluding a tip. The Blue line will take you from O’Hare Airport to Chicago city. Depending on the time of day, you’ll be waiting anywhere from 5 – 20 minutes for a train. Fares are $2.25 one way with a transfer. BUS The CTA area is well served by buses, and in the city you are never more than 2 blocks away from a bus stop. Fares are the same as the EI. Buses to and from the suburbs are operated by PACE every 20-30 minutes approximately. Fares and transfers vary somewhat, but you should expect to pay $2.25. TAXI Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curb front of all terminals. Shared ride service is available. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters. Expect to spend approximately $35 to $40 for a taxicab ride to downtown Chicago. Transport From San Francisco Airport to Downtown San Francisco BUSES & SHUTTLES The most economical way to reach downtown San Francisco is by taking a Super Shuttle. To get to the shuttle, leave the baggage claim area and go to the second floor, exit the terminal and go to the middle island where all the shuttle services are located. The shuttle will bring you directly to your destination and should cost in the region of $15- $20 plus tip. TAXI Taxis are available outside each terminal’s Arrivals area. Journey time to/from downtown San Francisco is around 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. Fare costs average at $35-$45 excluding tip. Shuttle service is available at the Transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2, and curbside at the Commuter Terminal. From Terminal 2, cross the Terminal 2 skybridge and take either the escalators or the elevators to street level, or use the pedestrian crosswalk conveniently located outside the Terminal 2 Baggage Claim Area to access the Transportation Plaza. TAXI Many companies provide taxicab service at San Diego International Airport. If you need a taxi, simply follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plazas. A Transportation Coordinator will place you with the first available taxi. A taxi should cost from $15-$30. Transport From Los Angeles International Airport to Downtown Los Angeles Los Angeles International Airport is served directly by shuttle, bus, and taxi. Public transportation is also available for travel both to and from the airport. SHUTTLE Outbound buses and shuttles can be picked up from the designated areas on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal. The areas are signed Van, LAX. They cost around $20-25 to downtown LA and Pasadena and $3540 to the Valley. Seewww.supershuttle.com BUS City buses can be boarded adjacent to Parking Lot ‘C’ by taking the ‘C’ Shuttle. Other public buses serving LAX include; Culver City Bus Lines, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and Torrance Transit. Bus information is available in the baggage claim area of each terminal. TAXI Taxis are available from curbside on the Lower Level. Passengers will be given a ticket stating the typical fare to major destinations. It is usually a fixed fare of $46.50. Your journey should take 25-50 minutes depending on traffic. Airport authorized taxis will display an official seal. Tickets can be purchased at the Greyhound International ticket desk or on line at www.greyhound.com There is 1 departure per day – departing Port Authority at 4.00pm and arriving at 9.45pm. The journey involves 1 transfer and the oneway fare is $49. New York to LONG BEACH To get to Long Beach you will be using the Long Island Rail Road. The train leaves from Penn Station, which is located on 7th Ave. & 33rd Street. The service runs regularly 2-3 times an hour. The journey time is approx. 50 mins. Allow yourself time to purchase your ticket in the station as on-board tickets are more expensive. There are many ticket machines on the concourse level, some next to the ticket windows and the escalator. Station: $11.50 On board: $18.00 (Tickets can vary depending on the time of day). The train leaves from Penn Station, which is located on 7th Avenue & 33rd Street. The station in Montauk is located at Edgemere St. & Firestone Lane. This service runs regularly three or four times a day. The journey time is about 3 hrs and 30 mins. Allow yourself time to purchase your ticket in the station as on-board tickets are more expensive. There are many ticket machines on the concourse level; some are next to the ticket windows and the escalator. Station: $25 On board: $31 (Tickets can vary depending on the time of day). The train leaves from Penn Station, which is located on 7th Avenue & 33rd Street. The arrival station in Philadelphia is located at 30th St. This regular service runs at least ten times each day. The one-way fare is approx. $100 The journey time is about 1 hr and 20 mins. For reservations visit www.amtrak.com New York to CAPE MAY / WILDWOOD / OCEAN CITY & ATLANTIC CITY You should take a New Jersey Transit Bus to Atlantic City, New Jersey from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue and 42nd Street. The terminal is large and confusing; therefore we recommend that you purchase your ticket at the New Jersey Transit Booths the day before. Furthermore, since a ticket is not a guarantee of a seat, we recommend that you get to the terminal 45 minutes before your desired departure time. The cost is about $35 one way. You will take the New Jersey Transit Bus #319 to Atlantic City. Take the bus that leaves from Port Authority Bus Terminal at 12.30 in the afternoon and arrives in Atlantic City at 3.05 in the afternoon. From Atlantic City take bus #552 to Cape May / Wildwood. This will leave gate 2 at 3.50 and arrives in Wildwood at 5.09 pm and in Cape May at 5.55 pm. The cost is $5.25 one way. If you are travelling to Ocean City you will stop at Atlantic City and transfer to another coach from inside the Atlantic City bus terminal. A one way journey to Ocean city from here will cost $3.10 This bus also serves Sea Isle City, Avalon, Somers Point, Stone Harbor and North Wildwood. For further information check out www.njtransit. com New York to OCEAN CITY MARYLAND You should take the Greyhound Bus to Ocean City, Maryland from the Port Authority Bus Terminal located at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. You should then go to the Greyhound International ticket counter to purchase your ticket or you can purchase on-line at www.greyhound.comthe price and time-table will depend on when you are travelling. One way fare is approximately $50. Furthermore, since a ticket is not a guarantee of a seat, we recommend that you get to the terminal 45 minutes before your desired departure time. New York to MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA BY PLANE The fastest and most economical way to get to Myrtle Beach is to fly. Book your flight online by visiting www.spiritair. com Flights depart from La Guardia. The flight should take approximately 2 hours and costs between $85 – $154 one way (standard cost $147.70). Early booking is advisable. New York to MASSACHUSETTS – Hyannis / Nantucket Island / Martha’s Vineyard BY BUS You should take a Bonanza Bus to Hyannis, Massachusetts from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, located at 8th Avenue and 42nd Street. Please purchase tickets at the Coach USA Ticket plaza, windows 13 & 14 located on the main concourse south wing. The terminal is large and confusing; therefore we recommend that you purchase your ticket the day before. Furthermore, since a ticket is not a guarantee of a seat, we recommend that you get to the terminal 45 minutes before your desired departure time. The schedule of departures from Gate 17 in New York’s Port Authority is as follows; Depart Arrive 7.30am 1.40pm 9.30am 3.40.pm 11.30am 5.40pm 1.30pm 7.40pm 3.00pm 9.40pm This bus also serves Providence, Fall River, New Bedford, Falmouth, Woods Hole and Bourne. The one-way fare is approximately $50 There will most likely be a half hour wait in Providence, Rhode Island and you may have to change buses. The driver will tell you whether or not you can leave your personal belongings on the bus. Either way, do not leave anything valuable on the bus, and if you have to change buses, remember to take your luggage with you. For more information check out www.peterpanbus.com ONWARD TO NANTUCKET ISLAND / MARTHA’S VINEYARD When you arrive in Hyannis you can only travel to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard by boat or ferry. Flights are also available but can be quite expensive. MARTHA’S VINEYARD & NANTUCKET ISLAND There is a daily ferry service with Hy-Line Cruises to both islands. The departures are from the ferry terminal on Ocean Street. There are 5 services daily during the summer to both islands. There is an excellent service provided by Plymouth and Brockton Street Railway Co. from South Station Bus Terminal located at 700 Atlantic Avenue to most towns in and around Cape Cod. The departures are from the ferry terminal on Ocean Street. There are 4 services daily during the summer to both islands. The journey will be a combination of bus and rail and you should expect a journey time of over 10 hours. You will arrive in Union Station, Los Angeles. Passengers board buses on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green “FlyAway, Buses and Long Distance Vans” signs. Each bus is marked with its service location. Depending on traffic conditions, travel times each way can range from 30-50 minutes. The bus runs almost every half hour. It costs $7 one way. One-way fare is approximately $40. BUS To get to Huntington Beach you will be using OCTA Route 701 from Union Station. The bus collects you from Patsaouras Transit Plaza on the East side of the Station and brings you to Golden West Transportation Center in Huntington Beach. The bus schedule is as follows: Monday - Friday Depart Arrive 4.15pm 5.52pm 5.04pm 6.36pm OCTA Route 701 only runs twice a day at rush-hour times during the weekdays. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 40mins. One way fare $4.50. For more information seewww.octa.net To get to Ocean City Maryland via bus you will be using Greyhound from Washington DC,1005 1st Street Northeast. The journey time is approximately 4 hours, depending on the time of day. A standard ticket is $51. There is also a Greyhound bus which departs from Washington Union Station, however there is a transfer at Washington DC and you could be waiting up to 2 hours here. Total journey time is approximately 6 hours. A standard ticket is $51. The journey will be a combination of bus and rail and you shouldexpect a journey time of approximately 3 hours 45mins. There is a change in Baltimore; it is here where you will switch from train to bus. This bus takes you directly to Ocean City. One-way fare is around $106.
