hank you for your generous support of the 25th Annual Komen
Houston Race for the Cure®. We would like to thank Marathon
Oil Corporation, our local presenting partner of the 2015 Race, along
with our 76 corporate sponsors and over 1,000 volunteers who came together
to help make Houston’s largest footrace a huge success. We also wanted to
express our gratitude and appreciation to all of the walkers, runners, breast
cancer survivors, forever fighters, volunteers and sponsors who united for the
same mission—to save lives and end breast cancer forever.
Because of you, we have already raised over $1.4 million for breast cancer
research, education, screening and treatment programs in Houston and our
seven surrounding areas.
Each fall, thousands get inspired to get their pink on and go Passionately
Pink to help us end breast cancer and save lives. National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month in October was a very special month, complete with
memorable Passionately Pink events such as the North Cypress Medical
Center Project Pink Luncheon, Bras for a Cause with KRBE 104.1 FM, Pink
Street at Main Street America and Renewal by Anderson’s month-long breast
cancer awareness promotion to support our mission. Thank you to these
supporting organizations and all of our community partners who make a
significant difference in the fight against breast cancer year after year.

second annual Susan G. Komen Houston Golf Classic on Nov. 16 at
Champions Golf Classic. The Golf Classic was chaired by Tammy Howell.
What a fun-filled day we had! The tournament was able to raise over $60,000.
The tournament could not have happened without the support of all of our
sponsors! The funds raised help support our community grants that provide
needed services like clinical breast exams, mammogram screenings, and treatment
for the uninsured and underinsured neighbors in the seven counties we serve. We
look forward to our third annual Golf Classic in 2016!
