The best! Setting the front ride height on a Series I or II E-Type
used to be a tedious and time-consuming process. We once
carried an adjustable torsion bar reaction plate that eased the process,
but it was fairly crude and offered limited adjustment, so we developed the
Ultimate Adjustable Torsion Bar Reaction Plate. Hundreds are now in use.
Unlike those with cam adjusters, our plate offers infinite adjustability through
Porsche-style threaded adjuster rods. To set ride height, raise the car, turn the
recessed Allen-key socket and precisely dial-in the exact desired height. It
couldn’t be easier or more precise. You can easily set corner weights for more
precise handling for street or race. And from a pure labor-savings point of
view, our plate potentially eliminates the hours of shop time required to set
ride height with a standard plate.

Polyurethane bushings are truly the best of both worlds. Unlike reproduction
bushings, or even originals, they will last the life of the car and offer unequaled

While Jaguar was certainly at the leading edge of technology by fitting disc
brakes in the fifties, many improvements have been made since. Our Wilwood
brake conversion kits employ lightweight alloy calipers for a reduction in
un-sprung weight and large gains in pad area. Supplied with all necessary adapters, hardware and streetable brake pads. A great complement
would be a set of braided stainless brake lines. Kit includes four-piston

Rear Vented Disc Brake Conversion Kit
Manufactured by XKs Unlimited
For track- or high-performance street use, the inboard rear brakes
can easily overheat. Many solutions have been tried over the
years but upgrading to vented rear rotors is one of the best. After poor availability from our previous vendor, we have now developed our own kit which includes rotors, rotor mount rings, caliper center spacers, caliper mount spacers, parking brake forks and
lock tabs, stainless steel caliper cross over pipes plus all hardware.

REOPUS H Replacement
Amplifier Circuit Board For V-12 E-Type
Jaguar’s problems with the Lucas OPUS ignition fitted to V-12 E-Types and
early XJ-12s are well documented. While sophisticated for its day, OPUS failures were common and age has done these components no favors. REOPUS
was an updated amplifier circuit board that cured all of these problems and made a
V-12 run like never before. REOPUS H, for “Hall Effect,” is another huge leap forward;
it also now replaces the pick-up unit, many of which are now failing due to age. Must
be used in conjunction with one of two pickup units: 08-1042 (two male and one
female connector) or 08-1044 (one male and two female connectors).

4.2 Series I High Performance One-Wire Alternator Conversion
This kit brings vastly improved performance and reliability to your E-Type’s electrical system.
The 84-amp GM-type alternator uses all new components and can easily handle the increased
electrical demands of modern audio systems, cooling fans, etc. This kit is completely “bolt-in”
and will allow you to easily convert back to the stock alternator should you wish. Looks very
close to original and is about the same price as a rebuilt Lucas alternator. Installation couldn’t
be simpler: the new alternator bolts to the stock bracket and uses the stock belt. Our kit includes alternator with the custom pulley installed, custom adjusting bracket, a new belt and all
mounting hardware. Please note that this kit is for Series I cars with tachometer generator only.

An alloy flywheel allows an engine to rev freer and greatly improves throttle response.
The effect is unleashing more horsepower and more flexibility throughout the rev

Unlike some inferior flywheels on the market, our flywheels are made from high-quality aluminum billet with a replaceable high-carbon steel wear surface. A steel ring

Another Jaguar Part Manufactured Exclusively For
XKs Unlimited – The Source for Classic Jaguar Parts!
These beautifully made pumps are four pounds lighter than a cast iron original, plus they’re just plain cool. Same high quality bearing and casting quality
as our cast iron pumps.
Our pumps are cast with high-quality, permanent, metal molds. They’re much
more expensive than the wooden molds commonly used for limited production
runs but yield a far more accurate casting with less flashing and therefore less
grinding. Compare our pumps to other reproductions on the market. The differences are dramatic.
Modern manufacturing techniques and state-of-the-art internal components are
used to produce a quality part that will give years of trouble-free service. The
pump casting is CNC milled and bored to exacting dimensions to ensure proper
alignment and a good bearing seal. The shafts and the permanently lubricated
and sealed bearings are upgraded and of the best quality available. Finally, the
impeller is designed for maximum flow. A gasket and all required fittings are included. Save $20.00 when purchased with an 09-5005 Series I hose kit.

Now For Series I and II – A Modern Heater Core
Original heater cores were produced using an obsolete “expanded tube” design.
They performed poorly since there was little contact between the thin fins and
the water tubes. We decided to manufacture this core with “tube and fin” technology, where several layers of folded aluminum fin are sandwiched between wide,
flat tubes and then topped with header tanks. The entire assembly is oven brazed
so that a much greater surface area of fins is welded to the tubes, resulting in far
higher efficiency.

Evans Waterless Coolant: Evans NPG +
When a classic Jaguar is driven in traffic or on hot days, the water temperature can easily rise beyond 230-degrees F. Such temperatures are not inherently dangerous, but if steam pockets form,
localized high temperatures can lead to cracks. Evans coolant is excellent insurance against such
pockets. It’s also an excellent guard against boil over. Since classic Jaguars do not have coolant
recovery systems, boil over associated with conventional coolants – and accumulated coolant loss
-- will eventually lead to extreme overheating.

Stainless Steel Header Tanks
Just in and also manufactured by XKs Unlimited
are these beautiful stainless steel header tanks.
They offer unparalleled corrosion resistance and
all fittings, hose connections and attachment points are as per standard. Note
that the 3.8 part is based on the later version of that tank, so if your car is prior to
850657 (RHD OTS), 879044 (LHD OTS), 861091 (RHD FHC) or 888241 (LHD FHC),
you will need to update to hose number 09-21489. Get rid of that rusty original
or aftermarket tank! Supplied unpainted, but can be painted with Rust-Oleum
‘Hammerite Sliver’ (we can’t ship aerosols) to match original if desired, it’s available at most hardware stores.

Fan Mount Bracket Set For Series I Radiators
A Positive Mounting System For An Efficient Electric Fan –
Mounts To The Radiator Without Damaging The Cooling Fins

work of mounting our 17-1570-17 high performance cooling fan to
either a 3.8 or 4.2 Series I radiator (aftermarket or standard). We’ve
never liked the idea of mounting electric fans directly to the fragile
radiator core and these brackets neatly solve that problem. Set includes upper and lower brackets and fan attaching hardware. Our
high performance fan pulls 2800 CFM of air, night and day compared to an original.

We have a new vendor for this item and have drastically reduced the price. It is supplied with wiring, relay, remote probe and adjustable temp control box to run one or two
fans. The probe can be inserted in the radiator fins or taped to the lower radiator hose to
activate the fans at a predetermined temperature from 160 to 210 degrees. Installation

NEW Electric Power Steering Conversions From EZ Electric Power Steering
If you find your E-Type’s steering is too heavy at slow speeds,
we have a solution: an EZ Power Steering conversion that’s
completely hidden under the dashboard. The standard
steering rack remains unchanged, as does the steering
ratio and under-bonnet appearance. Steering
assist is fully adjustable and is sensitive to
speed and load. CNC-cut brackets are used
to attach the system and no cutting, drilling or welding is required. What’s more,
the car can easily be converted back to
standard steering.
Electric steering offers several advantages over hydraulic. The electric motor
only uses power when steering assist is
required; conversely, a hydraulic pump runs
continuously and usually robs your engine of about four
horsepower – even when driving straight ahead.

Because the electric power steering system is speed sensitive, it
provides assistance at low speeds but retains your E-Type’s excellent steering feel at higher speeds. And, the amount of assistance
can be adjusted to suit the driver’s preference or to compensate for
wider tires or a smaller steering wheel. With classic hydraulic systems,
the “feel” is not adjustable and often too light at high speeds. And should
the electric system ever fail (highly unlikely, we should add) the car would steer exactly as it did prior to the conversion, unlike a
hydraulic system where the steering could be dangerously heavy. Click here to see instructions before you begin. Available by

Six Cylinder Exhaust Manifolds
After years of development, we are excited to introduce six-cylinder exhaust
manifolds made by XKs Unlimited. Rather than the original gray iron, these
are superior ductile iron, a material known for its temperature resistance and
dimensional stability -- both of which should increase the durability of any
coating. We offer our manifolds two ways: bare, so you can source the coating
of your choice, or with a tough ceramic finish.
Ceramic-coated manifolds are first “polished” to yield a relatively smooth
surface (a laborious process) and then coated inside and out. This limits heat
absorption and ensures more heat simply exits the tail pipes. The coating is
rated to 1300 degrees F and carries a lifetime guarantee against corrosion
or failure of the adhesion to the manifold. (Any failures will be replaced one
for one and does not cover labor. No warranty against damage from abuse,
accident, or discoloration over time.) Purchase gaskets and nuts separately.

Pedal
As any E-Type driver knows, pedal spacing is tight -- especially
for those of us with less than dainty feet. The mount stud on
our version is offset by 7/16”. While this doesn’t sound like
much, it makes a huge difference. Made in two layers with a
locating pin, just like an original. This part is the metal base and
does not include the rubber pad (CO-9934). Please note: manufactured with a 3/8” mounting stud; 3.8 E-Types and earlier
4.2 Series I cars use a 5/16” stud. The pedal will have to
be drilled out on earlier cars to fit the offset pedal.

Jaguar recommended that Series I and II E-types be jacked from the front using a piece of wood under the front cross member, or “picture frame.” We’ve
improved upon their suggested design by providing a wider “land” for the
jack. Manufactured locally for XKs Unlimited using tough hardwood. If your
car has been repeatedly lifted without using such a block (and most have),
the flanges at the bottom of the picture frame may be bent; they’ll need to
be straightened for this block to fit.

Replacement Series I Water Pumps
Our pumps are cast with high-quality, permanent, metal
molds. These molds are much more expensive than the
common wooden molds used for limited production. The
metal molds yield a far more accurate casting with less
flashing. Compare our pumps to other reproductions

One of the perks of this job is photographing and writing about Jaguars restored by XKs Unlimited. This
1969 Series II roadster came to us in
October 2013 looking a little worn,
but otherwise very sound. Minimal
rust, straight body and rebuildable
mechanicals made this an ideal candidate for a full restoration.

highlights: We performed a total mechanical rebuild including engine, suspension, gauges, and brakes. We installed a 5-speed transmission, electronic ignition and
a rear crankshaft seal upgrade. The body was stripped to bare metal, sealed, primed and sprayed in the original Carmen Red. We
had all the chrome redone. A new black leather interior was fabricated along with new black carpets. The only untouched part of
the interior is the original steering wheel. It’s a little worn and ‘creaky’ with a few splinters, but we heeded the customer’s request.
(I would hang it in my den and put a new one in service if it was me.) Prior to the full restoration the owner had the top replaced,
so we were able to reinstall that piece as well. XKs Unlimited has been repairing, restoring, and racing E-Types longer than any
company in the world! 42years of continuous ownership, that’s experience.
The completed restoration on a, brisk, clear winter morning shows very well.
As can be seen, this is a pretty clean starting point.
Although when stripped naked it appears a daunting task,
the solid platform of this car shows here.

Once again I’m impressed by the craftsmanship the trim department turns out. All
new leather over completely rebuilt seats makes for a comfortable perch to watch
the miles roll past. Per customer request, the original steering wheel remains.

Venerable is an overused word, but it certainly applies

no rust present.

The close-up of the completed under-bonnet is truly show-worthy condition. You can see an example of the polished triple S.U. carbs and the spotless
appearance we like to see. With the differential-axle assembly completely overhauled it’s ready to mate up to the tub, as the front suspension is pieced
together on the lift.

The XK-140 DHC we have chronicled in the
past few editions has reached a milestone.
All the repairs and fabrication of the body
assembly are now complete. From the photos you can see it is ready to go off to the
spray booth. After proper curing time, it
will mate up to the rolling chassis and the
reassembly will begin.
All the body repairs have been made, it has been sealed and primed and now goes of to get
color. Many will recall the first article where we had the rolling chassis complete; below are a
couple of refresher photos.
Not only have we done the full body restoration but we rebuilt the motor to the highest standards,
converted the car to a five speed, converted to disc brakes, added power rack-&-pinion steering, along
with subtle suspension up-grades. We have been restoring and improving the performance of classic
Jaguars longer than any shop. We developed many of the upgrades seen elsewhere including England!

Front Disc Brakes

The E-Type upgrades get a lot of publicity,
but we haven’t neglected the earlier cars.
It’s our feeling the XK-120 and 140 cars need
upgraded brakes as much as the E-Types.
Our goal with this kit (above) was to put
XK-150 front disc brakes on the XK-120 and
XK-140 -- not to create the monster kit with Above is the complete kit (order number 06-0031) laid out to see the level of detail we have put
into it. We’ve retained Jaguar parts throughout along with some custom adapters and brake
six-pot calipers gripping rotors the size of a hose upgrades. This kit is applicable to the wire-wheeled cars only.

this is the most complete kit in the industry, with all the required hardware included, not to mention new splined hubs, rotors,
disc brake cylinders, hoses, etc., etc. For single or dual master cylinder, but wire wheel cars only. This kit includes our proprietary
braided stainless steel brake lines. They eliminate the need to modify the front brake pipes and make the kit totally bolt-on or
bolt-off should you wish to convert back to drums. We also include a braided rear line. Bring some stopping power to your XK120 or XK-140! XKs Unlimited order number 06-0031.
The 06-0031 disc brake kit, above, has been a great success and we also offer an alternative version utilizing Wilwood brand
forged alloy calipers (06-0032) in place of the original-style Dunlop calipers. This results in a greater pad swept area and a further
reduction in un-sprung weight. It’s also quite a bit less expensive. Key to the kit is our braided stainless steel brake flex-lines,
they allow for a totally bolt-on conversion that’s completely reversible any time you wish. Kit includes splined wheel hubs, rotors, calipers, caliper mounting brackets, braided stainless flex lines (we also include
a new rear line with this kit) and all hardware. This kit is applicable for all XK-120s and

NEW Electric Power Steering Conversions From EZ Electric Power Steering
If you find your XK’s steering is too heavy at slow speeds, we have
a solution: an EZ Power Steering conversion that’s hidden under the dashboard. The standard steering box/rack remains
unchanged, as does the steering ratio and under-bonnet appearance. Steering assist is fully adjustable and is sensitive to
speed and load.
Electric steering offers several advantages over hydraulic.
The electric motor only uses power when steering assist is
required; conversely, a hydraulic pump runs continuously
and usually robs your engine of about four horsepower –
even when driving straight ahead.

Because the electric power steering system is speed sensitive, it provides assistance at low speeds but retain your XK’s
steering feel at higher speeds. And, the amount of assistance can be
adjusted to suit the driver’s preference or to compensate for wider tires
or a smaller steering wheel. With classic hydraulic systems, the “feel” is not adjustable and often
too light at high speeds. And should the electric system ever fail (highly unlikely, we should add) the car would steer exactly as it
did prior to the conversion, unlike a hydraulic system where the steering could be dangerously heavy.
If you’ve read about these systems in the E-Type section, please note that installation in an XK-120 is more complex and requires
taking a section out of the steering column tube and shaft. Welding is required and some material must be removed under the
dash. The XK-140 and XK-150 upgrade is much simpler than a 120 but under-dash sheet metal must still be removed for clearance. Click here to see instructions before you begin. Available by special order only. Delivery is usually about four weeks.

After years of development, we are excited to introduce six-cylinder exhaust manifolds made by XKs Unlimited. Rather than
the original gray iron, these are superior ductile iron, a material known for its temperature resistance and dimensional stability — both of which should increase the durability of any coating. We offer our manifolds two ways: bare, so you can source the
coating of your choice, or with a tough ceramic finish.
Ceramic-coated manifolds are first “polished” to yield a relatively smooth surface (a laborious process) and then coated inside
and out. This limits heat absorption and ensures more heat simply exits the tail pipes. The coating is rated to 1300 degrees F and
carries a lifetime guarantee against corrosion or failure of the adhesion to the manifold. (Any failures will be replaced one

adapting this material to automotive use the net results insofar as reducing the ’squish’ of the suspension was accomplished nicely. The downside to this

adaptation was having a suspension that sounded
like Dr. Frankenstein’s rusty front gate. Many innovators tried, with varying degrees of success,
to work out a means of lubricating the various joints to make the product suitable for daily use.
The E-Type ‘XL’ project car
The real solution came to us in the form of the bushing manufacturers developing the right recipe in the chemical mix of the material. The modern urethane material is as rigid as ever and
produces none of the annoying noises of days gone by.
Polyurethane bushings are truly the best of both worlds. Unlike reproduction bushings, or even originals, they will last the life
of the car and offer unequaled resistance to dry rot, ozone and other environmental factors. Further, they deliver superior performance through less deflection compared to rubber and do not compromise comfort. Nor do they squeak. We’ve sold these
kits for the better part of two decades and have used dozens in our restoration shop. Our Series I & II front kit, 17-6004, includes
upper and lower A-Arm bushings, sway bar end link bushings and sway bar mount bushings.
The bushings are available in whole-car kits or as individual pieces. If you have the suspension torn down we suggest the whole
kits. Or, one could make incremental upgrades as replacement of ancillary bushings
(sway bar mount and links for instance) becomes necessary.

NEW Rebuilt SU Fuel Pumps
Calling these pumps “rebuilt” doesn’t do them justice. “Re-manufactured, improved and restored to perfection” comes
a little closer. All internal components are replaced and all seals and gaskets are ethanol resistant. The Viton diaphragms are exclusive to our rebuilder and are rated to withstand 25 percent ethanol. Finally, all pumps are converted
to pointless style and are 100 percent solid state. In many ways, these pumps are superior to a brand new SU pump
and are cosmetically as new with re-plated hardware and all labels, etc. An excellent value. Core Charges Apply.

A core plug is one of those little parts that can cause a big problem. These clever little straps are
designed specifically for Jaguar six-cylinder engines and provide an extra measure of security.
Drilling and tapping of the engine block is required. Kit includes seven core plugs, seven core
