The Portuguese Sport Fishing Federation has the honour to inviting the national team of your
country to participate to the 17th FRESHWATER FISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – DISABLED and
8th FRESHWATER FISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – VETERANS , which will be held in Portugal
from 01ST to 06th June 2015.
The Championship will take place in the River Raia near Cabeção where there are excellent
conditions for the practice of our sport.
We are looking forward to your presence and participation.
We are sure that fishermen’s and escorts, that will come, will remember once more, our
traditional kindness and the warm welcome that will provide a wonderful and unforgettable stay.

1. INTRODUCTION
The River Raia, which has been chosen for the 17th FRESHWATER FISHING WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIP – DISABLED and 8th FRESHWATER FISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
– VETERANS, it’s an already well-known venue and is situated in Cabeção near Mora,
district of Évora in the region of Alentejo.
The village of Mora is situated at 125 Km from the Lisbon airport and at 115 Km from the
border with Spain (Badajoz).
The River Raia springs from the Maranhão Dam. We are talking about a natural river, with
a savage shore.
