CABO SAN LUCAS
Millennia ago, Cabo San Lucas was part of the Mexican mainland. Then a massive
rupture of the San Andreas Fault sent the waters of the Pacific crashing into the
newly formed depression, creating the Gulf of California and the Baja Peninsula.
Lying at the very tip of Baja, where the Pacific meets the Gulf of California, Cabo
San Lucas — or “Cabo” — is one of the premier resort destinations in the Western
Hemisphere. Swim in the transparent waters of the Gulf; marvel at the wealth of
marine life; relax on one of the white-sand beaches or try your hand at some of
the finest sportfishing in the world.
Note: Your ship will anchor in Cabo San Lucas and use launches to transport all passengers ashore.
THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN AND AROUND CABO SAN LUCAS
El Arco – This naturally hewn rock formation at Land’s End
was carved by centuries of pounding waves and wind.
Playa Medano – It begins at the mouth of the marina and
slopes to the west for about two miles. Calm conditions
make this Cabo’s main playground, offering complete
watersports equipment rentals, crystal-clear water, and
several seaside restaurants.
Playa del Amor (Lover’s Beach) – This beach is flanked by
towering rocks and has access to both the Pacific Ocean
and the Bahía de Cabo San Lucas. Above the water, the
natural rock outcrops and arches at Land’s End are one of
Baja California’s trademark landscapes.
Todos Santos – This small, charming grid of streets hosted
a Jesuit visita (outstation) in the 18th century and later
became a prosperous cane-milling center; the crumbled
remains of old trapiches (mills) are piled up around town.

Passengers should appreciate that standards of transport vary
considerably throughout the world.
Passengers are requested to report to the specified departure
location (either onboard ship or pierside) at the designated time,
as delay on your part can interfere with the pleasure of your fellow
passengers.
EXCURSIONS WITH LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Shore Excursions may be purchased in advance of your cruise
departure online or onboard ship on a first-come, first served basis.
Many of our excursions have limited participation and reservation
forms will be processed in the order received. When excursions are
fully subscribed, additional requests will be placed on a waiting list
in the order received.
PERSONAL POSSESSIONS
Coats, wraps, umbrellas, cameras, handbags, traveling bags and
similar personal articles remain at all times through the tour under
the passenger’s custody and control. Be careful that you do not
leave your possessions unattended at any time in the car or coach
in which you are traveling.
REFUNDS
Air-conditioned coaches are not available in many areas, and in some,
local buses are the best available. Cars or taxis are also used at some
ports where coach or bus transportation is not available or limited.
Where excursions are operated by car, four to eight passengers are
allocated to each car. Passengers wishing to travel with friends should
all leave the ship together, as this will help the Tour Staff to allocate
them space in the same vehicle. For the comfort of all passengers,
smoking is prohibited aboard the sightseeing vehicles.
WITHDRAWAL OF TOURS
The Tour Operator reserves the right to withdraw any excursion
through lack of demand and to make any alterations that they may
deem advisable for the comfort of the passengers, bearing in mind
the convenience and best interest of each group.
ECOLOGY & ENVIRONMENT
It is our policy to maintain a positive and proactive position in relation
to the environment. We realize that there is much work to be done to
achieve our company goals.
To this end we are continually striving to increase awareness of any
environmental issues that are likely to affect any of the excursions we
offer. We work closely with our local agents to convey any environmental
messages in our shore excursion programs and therefore ask you to
support us in our efforts by respecting the cultures, customs and
environmental issues of the various destinations we visit.
PRICES
The prices for Shore Excursions are in U.S. Dollars; are subject to
change without notice; are per adult, per child or in some cases
per vehicle. All quotations made include conveyance according to
the itinerary and, where applicable, meals, refreshments, guides and
entrance fees, unless otherwise stated. Children, other than infants
in arms, will be charged full fare unless noted otherwise.
