Mrs. House and Mrs. Huba`s STEM Challenge Day

Learning about the beach habitat
The student’s from Mrs. House’s and Mrs. Huba’s classes were treated to a beach walk by
retired Slaybaugh teacher Elaine Witkoskie. Thank you to the Educatuation Founadtion
for the mini grant to allow us for this amazing experience!
Beach STEM Challenge
Students had to save their sand castle from the incoming ocean.
But how can you do that?
Students came up with creative ways to save their castles and they
explained their results.
Unexpected Fun
The students got an unexpected treat when they found Dan Skelton doing his
weather forecast live from the Ocean City beach! So he was nice enough to
include them in it!!!
Also, we got to see Shriver’s making fresh salt water taffy! They surprised us
by giving the students the taffy fresh off the conveyor belt!
