Protect Yourself from Lawsuits
The Future of Convenience
Bob Bassman, 40-year veteran in the industry and attorney for the
Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA), the BP Amoco
Marketers Association, the ChevronTexaco Petroleum Marketers
Association, the Pennsylvania Petroleum Marketers and Convenience
Store Association, and many other individual marketer-companies and
associations, will discuss the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, which
was enacted in 1978 and regulates the termination or nonrenewal of
franchise relationships between a franchisor (major oil company or
jobber) and a franchisee (jobber or retail dealer).
What drives consumer behavior?
What makes
convenience and fuel retailers more profitable?
You don’t want to miss this 2-hour session on Tuesday morning. Come
learn the principal elements of franchise agreements, so you can protect
yourself from costly and time-consuming lawsuits.
Come learn how the changing consumer demographics
will affect your company and those in the petroleum &
convenience store industry.
On Tuesday morning, Michael Davis, one of our top
industry leaders from NACS, will offer an educational
session that will delve into the current industry metrics
and trends and discuss the direction society is headed.
He has years of experience as an owner, consultant and
researcher in the convenience and retail industry.
First-Ever Fishing Tournament
6th Annual Carolinas’ Challenge Golf Tournament
Going to Amelia Island without going
fishing is like going to the grocery store
and not buying any food.
This year marks our sixth year of competition between NC and SC. NC has won 3 out of
5 giving them the upper hand and bragging rights. Will SC get the cup back? or will NC
continue to be the victor?
Come be a part of the first fishing
tournament. You will enjoy a 4-hour
fishing excursion departing from the
Fernandina Marina. Transportation to &
from the hotel will be provided along
with bait, tackle, license, cleaning of your
fish, snacks, adult beverages and water.
The format will continue to be the same—a two-person, captain’s choice, match
play. You may purchase, in advance, one mulligan for $25. Due to time constraints, no
mulligans will be sold on the day of the tournament. Once you register to play, you will
automatically receive an invoice for your mulligan. The proceeds from the mulligan sales
will benefit your association PAC.
The top winners will be awarded prizes!
Tennis Tournament
If you are not a golfer, but love
competition, then you may want to play
in the tennis tournament on Monday
morning. Racquets, balls, towels, water
& sport drinks included. Winner will be
awarded a prize.
The tournament will be played at Oak Marsh, a classic Pete Dye course meandering
through creeks and moss-draped oaks on Amelia Island. This course has been named as
one of the “Top 75 resort courses in the U.S.” by Golf Digest as well as being selected
by Travel & Leisure Golf as one of ”Florida's 50 Finest Courses.”
Corn Hole Tournaments
Not a golfer? No problem. We have several corn hole tournaments scheduled for you
and your family to play. The cost to play is $25 per person per tournament. Pay when
you show up to play. The proceeds from the corn hole tournaments will also benefit your
association PAC.
Children’s Programs (Ages 4 –12)
We have secured the premier nanny service in Amelia Island—Amelia Island Nannies. Each nanny selected has the credentials &
highest standards you would expect for your loved ones. A thorough background check, good character, proof of residency, and first
aid & CPR certification are some of the qualities you can expect. They are educators, mothers & grandmothers that have a genuine
respect and love of children. You can rest assured that you are getting the best caregivers. All of the kids programs will encompass
a sports theme in their crafts & activities building up to the grand finale at Tuesday night’s Family Party.
If your child is 3 or under and you need private service, please visit ameliaislandnanny.com, fill out the contact tab and make sure
you let them know you are with the NCPCM/SCPMA Convention. The individual family rate is $20 per hour. You may also call
904-742-3481. They can watch your child in the comfort of your room. But, you will need to call at least a few weeks before you
arrive to set up private service.
Family Party
Live & Silent Auction
This party has become the party of the year for
kids and parents alike. We spare no expense in
creating a wonderland for you and your kids with
themed games, food and music.
Sit back and relax while you shop! Sound too good to be true. Each year, we
offer nice items valued at $100 and above at the live and silent auctions. It’s a
great way to buy early Christmas or special occasion gifts and help your PAC.
The silent auction begins on Sunday night and if we have enough big ticket
items, we will hold the Live Auction after the Sunday evening entertainment.
This year’s family party will be a Sports Theme
Tailgate Party. Dress up in your favorite team’s
Don’t delay. Sign Up TODAY
attire.
Rooms sell out quickly!
Join your friends and industry partners at Amelia Island.
