We are partnering with Peterbrooke Chocolate and Louis Sherry Chocolates on
Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. to bring you a Chocolate & Wine pairing and
tasting event! All in attendance will sample 4 wines professionally paired with single
origin chocolates. They will be educated on the nuances of both. Each participant will
also get to create their own Lodge & Club dark chocolate bar and sample a variety of
Louis Sherry chocolates. $29.95 per person, Service charge & tax additional. Please call

The Lodge & Club will celebrate the link between local farmers and the fresher, higher quality foods
they produce by hosting a special Farm-to-Table dining experience on Friday, September 25. Chef
Tim has reached out to the local farming community to obtain a variety of seasonal and fresh local
products and has created the following delightful menu:

Locally grown lettuces and greens from GYO Farms in Palm Valley.

Book Club
Trivia Night
The next meeting of The Lodge’s Book Club will take place on
Tuesday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to Noon. Enjoy a spot of tea
or coffee and some great conversation as those in attendance will
discuss “Not I / Memoirs of a German Childhood” by Joachim
Fest. No registration is necessary.
The next Monday Trivia Night for Adults will be
conducted on September 14. Members, arranged in teams
of 8 persons, will vie for fame, prizes and club bragging
rights. There will also be beverage specials. The doors
open at 6:30 p.m. with the first question asked at 7 p.m.
Wing Wednesday
Every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., The Oasis will be offering a
special of six chicken wings for $4.50! Each week our chefs will create
two specialty flavors for all to enjoy!

On Sunday, September 20 from 5:30-9 p.m., the Chef will be featuring another of his popular Italian themed dining
experiences in the Innlet Lounge. Some featured dishes include:

Labor Day Fun Run!
This year’s Labor Day Fun Run on Monday, September 7 will be equal parts
fun and run. We’re asking members to dress as they did in 1980 wearing
headbands, leotards, leg warmers, neon colors and more. Nothing’s off
limits! A prize will be presented to the ‘best 1980s dressed’ male and female. The 7:30 a.m. run will start at the Surf Club continue along the beach
to The Lodge and return to PVIC. There is no admission fee to participate.
Remember to load your iPod with the greatest hits of Duran Duran, Journey
and Hall & Oates!

Kids Yoga Workshop
The Gym is conducting another Kids’ Yoga Class on Wednesday, September 16 &
30 at 4 p.m. It’s here that children (ages 5–12) will learn about stretching, meditation
and simple yoga poses. This 45-minute class is complimentary. Registration is not
necessary.
