6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
A quick history about Tee Off For Dogs In 1980 Frank Frand was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa (RP), which is a rare inherited disease in which the light-sensitive retina of the eye slowly and progressively degenerates. As the disease progresses, peripheral vision is gradually lost; eventually blindness results. In 2001 Frank was given an opportunity to regain his lost freedom as his RP progressed and proudly received his first Guide Dog partner, Jacklyn a gold labrador retriever mix. With Jacklyn at his left side, Frank regained his confidence, began pursuing sporting activities and golf became a curiosity. With his golf game improving and having played in a tournament, Frank with several Guide Dog Puppy Raisers hosted the first Tee Off For Dogs in 2005. 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Frank & Cardinal Tournament Committee Peter Cary Donelda Dansby Michael Kanter Joe Katich Judy & Don Lloyd Norwalk Don’s Guide Dog Gail Meinert Sarah Meinert Amy Thompson Late 2006, Frank received his second Guide Dog, Cardinal who guides Frank puppies to ask about the detailed and through his daily activities including unique training the dogs receive to going to work, and golfing on the weekgo to become a working Guide Dog. end.
