The school proudly and successfully
presented its first-ever production after four
years of existence (2012-2015). It is a play
based on the modern script of William
Shakespeare’s The Tempest as edited by
John Crowther in 2003.
The play, full of wit, humour and romance,
is mostly student initiated and student led.
The teachers guided them when needed.
The tickets for both nights were sold out.
Tickets were priced at RM40 and RM20.
A total of 1500 tickets were sold.
The school would like to thank parents who
bore with patience and generosity the
heavy schedule of their children who were
the cast and crew.

The Tempest Prayer
written by Brother Stanley Goh, SJ,
prayed by cast and crew at every practice.
Into thy hands, O God we place,
Our work and will, before thy grace.
With our toil almost complete,
And thy love in us replete,
Fill, we pray, our sails with peace,
And from all fears give us release.
For thy glory our labours be,
so by your mercy set us free.

Interact Club
Joint Installation
Night
2015
Interactors from St. Joseph’s Private School
Interact Club attended the first ever Joint
Installation Night on the 2nd of August, 2015 at
the Banquet. This event was held in
collaboration with four other schools, that is
SMK Bandar Kuching No.1, SMK Kuching
High, SMK DPHA Gapor and SM Sains
Kuching.
The event was held to officially install each of
us as proper interactors in our respective clubs.
Moreover, this event has helped us all grow and
has provided a good learning experience to
help us become better leaders in the interact
community.
The night kicked off with Samantha Jawing as
one of the key speakers giving a speech that
truly captured the essence of us all as
interactors and our duty and responsibility in
society. Then, there was a performance by
fellow interactors from all schools.

Interact Club
Joint Installation
Night
2015
We proceeded with dinner and at the same
time, watched the outgoing board of directors
go up on stage to receive their certificates.
After that, came the official installation process.
Every member was given a badge, with the
presidents each receiving a medal.
Next, the respective teachers-in-charge of each
club of every school presented a dance. The
night ended with some of the fellow sponsors
and senior members of the Rotary Club
gathering on stage. Finally, the closing speech
was given.
The night was truly special and I am sure that
all of us, newly installed interactors, were very
honored and humbled to be a part of such an
event.

Assumption of Our Lady
Mary, Immaculate Mother of God ever Virgin, after finishing the
course of her life on earth, was taken up in body and soul to
heavenly glory. (Munificentissimus Deus , Pope Pius XII, 1 Nov 1950)
Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his
covenant was seen within his temple; and there were flashes of
lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy
hail. A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with
the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown
(NRSV Rev 11:19 - 12:1)
of twelve stars.
