Center welcomes ChRISTIANE LEMIEUx,
DwellStudio founder and creative director.
During this presentation, Christiane will
explain how she built the DwellStudio
brand of modern home and family furnishings and how
the last year has changed the entire design business
landscape. She’ll also share tips on how designers can
get ahead in today’s digital age. DwellStudio has recently
partnered with Robert Allen on their first offering of
residential fabrics. Complimentary scones and coffee.
Immediately following the keynote presentation,
Christiane will sign copies of her new book, “Undecorate”,
in the harsey & harsey Showroom located in suite 175.

Greener Lighting in the Post-Incandescent World
Join ELEANOR MCKAY, CEO of Niermann Weeks, to learn
about emerging light bulb standards, especially for chandeliers and sconces. Owners of traditional residential lighting will
soon have difficulty finding standard incandescent bulbs, because federal law has mandated phasing out inefficient incandescents beginning in 2012. She will show the good and
the not-so-good in available alternatives: CFLs, LEDs, and
halogen light bulbs. We in the interior design industry can still
and must lobby to include our esthetic considerations in the
newly developing technology for light bulbs.

LDC’s New Visitor Center
Laguna Design Center is pleased to announce the
grand opening of our state of the art Visitor Center!
The Visitor Center is designed to welcome you to the
Laguna Design Center. The Visitor Center invites
Interior Designers and the public to receive information
about Laguna Design Center events, products and services. The Visitor Center
provides an opportunity for the public to be introduced to Interior Designers and
review portfolios of Interior Designers who support the Laguna Design Center.
The Visitor Center offers two private conference rooms, a large open area,
and a lounge featuring audio/visual equipment set up for interior designers,
architects and home owners. We are happy to provide you with Wi-Fi access
in both conference rooms as well as provide a large space for interior designers
and like professionals to host educational seminars and presentations related
to the interior design industry.
We invite you to stop by and see the Visitor Center Suite 105, located by the
Green Flag entrance. If you have any questions or would like more information
