The “Villa Romaine” Hotel is located, seven kilometers from Sarlat, right in the middle of the “Périgord
Noir”, a magnificent county that owes is name to the dark foliage of his holms oaks. The Dordogne, part of
the “Périgord Noir” is also the name of our well-known river on which you can also canoe down.An unspoiled landscape, with a beautiful valley surrounded by blazing castles, combines to make your stay a sensational experience.
Close to “Lascaux” situated in the “Vézère’s valley”, famous site for its paleolithic cave painting, you are
now in the heart of an area full of histories and extraordinary places to visit such as prehistoric
sites, gardens, museums, caves and themes parks.
By coming here, you will not get passed our wealth of the table, our gastronomy and its culinary tradition

Top-of-the-range hotel services
Member of the chain “Castles and hotels of Collection”, the “Villa Romaine” proposes 17 large rooms.
This includes two suites and an adapted room for people with reduced mobility based on the ground floor.
They all proposes a great comfort, with their air-conditioned, mini-bars, safes, hair dryers, TV’s, and WI-FI, and
as you wish they all can be turned into king or queen size bed.
One of the two suites which is a duplex offers a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath-tub and also a separated shower.
The other suite has three rooms and can accommodate up to six persons who is ideal for a family stay or a
party between friends.
A large overflowing swimming pool makes your stay even more agreeable in summertime.
For the amateurs of our green lands, we can also provide you with detailed plans, if you want to have a long
walk or a stroll about, not forgetting that there is also bicycles hire facilities near by our hotel.
We do have a private car park.
The hosts, David Vacelet and Emilie Velut permanently make sure to provide a service up to a great quality
standard and are really attentive to each personalized request.
They like to prepare some “small presents” in order to insure that your stay will be a great moment as for
example a pretty bouquet, a bottle of champagne, or either the breakfast in your room, all kind of intention
that counts a lot when you wish that your stay will be manage in an accurate and efficient manners.

Our Chef choose, really carefully all his range of products that comes from our lands and is more than ever looking to
glorify the wealth of our “perigourdine” soil.
Menus and cards are made of local and fresh products and are issued as most as we can from products coming
from organic farming.
Flavours from the “Sud-Ouest” : from “Quercy” , from “Périgord” but also coming
The wine cards is in harmony with the menu : David Vacelet privileges natural and organic wines.

our hotel. Impossible to circumvent.

Castles of Castelnaud, Beynac, Fenelon, Montfort, Milandes (Joséphine Baker's residence)
