Montana wool, source verified, all grown, spun, knit and sewn in the U.S. All
Duckworth does is rip about 20,000 miles out of the global wool supply chain,
culminating in textiles and garments whose fit, function, handle, strength, and style

Born and bred in Montana, Duckworth base layers are simply the finest quality
Rambouillet Merino garments in the world, for men and women.

Duckworth starts with Montana wool --Helle Rambouillet Merino,
the most desirable fine-micron wool in the world. From its home in

the highlands of Montana, Duckworth wool stays entirely in the U.S. It

starts with spinning exceptional, proprietary yarns. Duckworth yarn
is then knit into tightly specified textiles ranging from lightweight
waffle knit – the first of its kind made entirely from Helle Rambouillet
Merino wool – to a soft and stretchable jersey knit, to rib knit and

The benefits of wool base layer to hunters are well known. The
two main benefits are that wool stays warm when wet and does not
stink. You can be in camp for a week and your wool undies don’t
clear the wall tent after a few days -- not to mention broadcasting
your stink to the elk -- like synthetics. Duckworth takes these

The Sky 5100 and 7400 packs are two packs in one, a 5100 (or 7400) cubic inch
long hauler with adequate room for the big trips, convertible to 3500 (or 4500)
cubic inch pack to drop weight and size for the shorter bivy or day trips. Top
side seams and storm flap are sewn to create the natural folds for compression of
excess fabric and complete weather protection when in bivy/day mode. A large,
21 inch center zip gives quick access to the main bag and the 4 internal pockets
on the inside of the zipper; 2 vertically on each side. Equipped with a small front
pocket to hold the feet of a tripod, the Sky packs are set up for easy
access to tripod and spotting scope, which can be stored just under
the center zip in the main bag.

and MSU Plant Sciences professor, Dr. Gary Strobel, has found areas where these trees have been burned by wildfire. The
wood is obtained from the Bear Trap Canyon Wilderness along the Madison River. He harvests select trees and crafts the
reclaimed hardwood into exquisite ink pens. The finish reveals an array of tones with unique burls and veins
of light and dark. Fine rhodium fittings are threaded to secure the cap on both the tip and tail of the

Customer Service team-members, Bart Bauer, whose
father Bob Bauer graced the pages of one of our most
acclaimed catalogs a few years back. The late Bob Bauer

if we could make one distinctive to Schnee’s. (Nothing
