TOT2016 invitation - St. David`s Foundation
Presented by St. David’s Foundation Community Fund 1 Julie Niedert, 2016 Committee Chair, and Tobie Funte Flannery, Vice Chair St. David’s Foundation Community Fund invites you to join us for the 32nd annual Our signature series of unique parties and special events at some of the most exceptional homes and venues in Central Texas April 12 – May 22 Proceeds from Toast of the Town 2016 will support the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship, which honors the life and work of Dr. Neal Kocurek 1 About the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarships Dr. Neal Kocurek, the longtime President and CEO of St. David’s Foundation, was a visionary civic leader who understood our community and cared about its future. As part of Dr. Kocurek’s legacy, this memorial scholarship fund was established to take his vision into the future by awarding college scholarships to students interested in pursuing health-related careers from Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop and Caldwell counties. Since inception, more than 340 students have received St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarships to study medicine, nursing, physical therapy, biomedical engineering and other health-related careers in Texas colleges and universities. Toast of the Town is the fundraising drive for the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Fund, and 100 percent of your gift is used for students’ educations. St. David’s Foundation Community Fund will match two-to-one all Toast of the Town contributions, tripling the dollars awarded to the scholarship fund. Every dollar raised will result in three dollars towards a scholarship. 2 “I will never forget the day I received a St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship. I was amazed to know so many people believed in me and my dreams and wanted to help me achieve them. That support, both financially and through the mentorship program, has changed my life. I will always be immensely grateful for this gift and look forward to the day I can use my career in health care to give others the same support.” Caitlin Etherton, 2013 scholarship recipient in her third year at The University of Texas at Austin “The difficult journey to achieving my goal of becoming a medical doctor has been made easier with the help of the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship over the last eight years. I cannot thank you, the donors, enough for your financial support. With your aid, I was less worried about finances, finished college strong, and I am now about to graduate from medical school. I hope that one day I will be able to give back to my community as you have. Thank you!” Teresia Pham, 2008 scholarship recipient in her fourth year at Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine 3 2016 Toast of the Town Benefits Cristal $75,000 Dom Pérignon $50,000 Pinot Noir $35,000 30 20 14 Priority Reservations for 2016 Toast of the Town (TOT) 1st 2nd 3rd Available Tickets to 2016 TOT 20 18 16 Recognition on 2016 TOT Web Page and Invitation Booklet Available Tickets to 2016 TOT Preludes & Accolades Preview Party 8 6 4 Poster Recognition at all 2016 TOT Parties Invitation to the 2016 Annual St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Awards Dinner Sponsor Logo in 2016 TOT Party Program Special Recognition in TOT Invitation, Featuring Sponsor Logo on a Designated Page, Honoring an Individual of the Sponsor’s Choice Direct Impact of Sponsorship to Students* (your donation plus the two-to-one match from St. David’s Foundation Community Fund) scholarships scholarships scholarships Sponsor Logo on 2016 TOT Web Page Sponsor Logo on 2016 TOT Annual Thank You Brochure St. David’s Foundation Community Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
