Festival Wine Garden
A
gain this year, Festival in the Pines will allow
its guests to purchase wine at the Eau
Claire City/County Tavern League
Beer Garden. Infinity Beverages, which
is located at 930 Galloway Street in Eau
Claire, will provide a few of its products
for attendees to purchase. Since the City
of Eau Claire required Festival organizers
to fence in the beer garden five years
ago, it was deemed an appropriate time
to begin wine sales again, since the one
requirement for serving wine, is to have it
in a fenced-in area.

days outside the Camp. The Chippewa Valley
Museum will also have arts/crafts-related
activities both days as well. All guests who
pay admission to Festival in the Pines are allowed to go
to both facilities for FREE during the festival weekend,
so be sure to visit these treasures in Carson Park!

VISIT OUR MOBILE SITE!
Users of smart phones, iPods and tablet devices with internet
capabilities will have the ability to learn more about Festival in
the Pines on their mobile device. "Whenever someone goes to the
Festival in the Pines web site (www.festivalinthepines.com), they
will be redirected to the mobile site," said Joshua Myers of First
Net Impressions, who designed the new feature. This year, mobile
site visitors will be able to access the festival's entertainment lineup
and get directions to the three shuttle bus pickup/drop-off locations.
In the future, Festival in the Pines hopes to give mobile device users
the ability to get a real-time schedule of events, view a map overlay
of the festival in Carson Park and have the ability to find friends
who are also attending the two-day event.

up to two spaces. If you call Dan Ropa
at: 715-379-4925, you can reserve your
space by filling out an application form and
mailing it back to: P.O. Box 1806, Eau Claire,
WI 54702 by the end of July. Space will be limited
to the first 40 antique sellers. Sellers' permits are required.

HALLIE OPTIMIST CLUB – The purpose of an optimist club is to develop
optimism as a philosophy of life to promote an active interest
in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for law;

help sponsor youth athletic leagues, weathering the homes of the elderly
or conducting oratorical contests for young people.
The St. Paul Harley Owners Group (HOG) Chapter #2454 has been active
since 1985 and is sponsored by St. Paul Harley-Davidson in St. Paul, MN.
The mission of the Chapter is to promote safe and responsible activities
related to motorcycling for HOG members, encouraging participation in
all HOG-related events. Our goal is to create an increased level of interest
for the sport of motorcycling. The St. Paul HOG Chapter has more than
210 members, holds monthly meetings and conducts scheduled rides in
the summer, as well as several other events throughout the year involving
Chapter members and guests each year.
CATHOLIC AREA SCHOOLS OF EAU CLAIRE – The faculty/staff in our Catholic schools are
dedicated to providing the highest quality education for our children. We work together to ensure
that our students will grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. St. James Catholic

conversational Spanish skills. Proceeds from the lemonade stand will be
used for transportation costs.
T.T.T., which stands for TIME, TALENT AND TREASURES, is a
national organization of women who donate their time to send girls
to camp - and more! It is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization
dedicated to providing an educational camping experience for girls
who might not otherwise have a chance. TTT-Wisconsin Chapter C
will be taking tickets for the children’s games and rides area at Festival
in the Pines and assisting young children as they play the games.
EAU CLAIRE COUNTY TAVERN LEAGUE – The Eau Claire County Tavern

organization will use the revenue to enhance its “Safe Ride” program and to
further educate the public about the dangers of drinking and driving.
REDEEMER CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL – Redeemer Christian
Preschool will staff the pop and water stands at this year’s

Recycling at Festival in the Pines
The Eau Claire County Planning & Development Department recently received a grant from Coloradobased CAN’d Aid Foundation to assist festival organizers with recycling. Festival in the Pines has again
contracted with Eau Claire County to provide
a series of tents that will help organize
recyclables during the two-day event.
Not only is recycling required by law to be in
place at all public events, but it is something that
we, as a community, should be implementing
on our own.
Let’s work together as a community to be
responsible citizens and dispose of materials
properly. Not only do we set an example for
our youth, but we are also keeping renewable
resources out of the landfill.
For more information about how you can be
a responsible recycler, call the Eau Claire
County Planning and Development office at:
715-839-2756 or visit: www.co.eau-claire.

utumn Harvest Winery, in addition to Infinity
Beverages, will be selling wine at this year’s

red wine. Fionnrua (fin-roo-ah) is a semi-sweet red wine that is a new
delicious blend. Fionnrua is the Celtic word for “strawberry blonde”. Also
