The Griffin Inn Wines
We pride ourselves on our choice of wines and our wine list has been widely acclaimed most recently
by the Good Food Guide 2011. We constantly seek out interesting wines which we enjoy but, more
important, we think that you will enjoy too. Wherever possible we try and avoid the obvious and conventional and, because of that, we have a very good representation of wines from Italy, a country whose
food and wine we love greatly. The enormous diversity of climate, soil, and grape variety in Italy gives
endless scope for interesting and delightful choices.
We are starting to see some fantastic wines coming out of Spain which particularly complement our love
of wood oven and open fire cooking, see wines of the month below.
We have relatively few half-bottles because we offer nearly 20 wines by the glass and these are equivalent to a quarter bottle and this gives a wide choice for people to choose from. Also, we are very pleased
to “cork up” an unfinished bottle of wine so that it may be finished at home.
Drink Pink For Primavera
