Message
I am very happy to welcome you all on this happy occasion
of the second convocation of our Institute. It is a matter of
pride for all of us that the President of India, Shri Pranab
Mukherjee is going to bless our graduating students
students.
Since the inception of IISER Bhopal in the year 2008, our
faculty members, students, and staff have been
een working very
hard to reach the stage we are at.. We have been able to establish our research facility at
the main campus in a very short period of time. I have felt bad at times, that I was not
able to provide enough facility and infrastructure on time to our students and faculty.
As a result, they had to go through rough times. But today
today, I get full satisfaction seeing
our graduating students in robes and hoods. I see smiles with great expectation on the
faces of their parents.
We are trying to provide students an ambience wherein scientific thinking is given the
deepest attention. I am glad to inform you that the students of our Institute are
participating
ing in various academic and research meetings across the globe and their work
is well recognized.
In a span of hardly six years, IISER Bhopal has been able to establish itself among the
front runners in the field of scientific research in the country. This has happened only
because of the dedication and acumen shown by various stakeholders, who are all
working for the common goal of creating a world class Institute.
The graduating students are going to be the pillars on which the scientific fraternity of
this Institute will stand. I am confident that our students will bring honour to the
Institute by their actions and activities in their career ahead.
Let us wish them all the success and a great future ahead!
