Scorpion is not as messy as other coatings so it won’t mist and coat everything in the area.
Scorpion’s “No Minimum Stock Level” policy means you buy only what you need. If you are
going to try to store Isocyanate you must ensure your barrels don’t get cold. Without a
“nitrogen blanket” on the open barrel problematic ISO crystals will develop.
 Scorpion can be applied over much larger humidity and temperature ranges than any other
lining system. For a high temperature, high pressure dealer such as Rhino, Linex, Permatech,
or others, cold temperatures are a significant issue and more often than not extra (costly)
measures must be taken. Also, other systems are extremely sensitive to moisture/humidity.
Air lines must be run through a dehydrator and in hot humid areas, even spray rooms need
to be dehydrated. Scorpion uses moisture as part of the curing process so it can be applied
between +2 Celsius and + 40 Celsius and in humidity as high as 95%.
 All products involving VOC’s are required to contain less than 2.8 pounds of VOC’s per
gallon. Scorpion has reduced VOC’s to less than ½ of the requirement while using negligible
amounts of isocyanates. For this reason as well as its class 2 fire rating, Scorpion is excluded
from the spray booth requirement (except in Ontario). The heavy use of isocyanates or
thinners to facilitate polyurethane cure time is very common, but Scorpion uses vastly
different technology, as a result it isn’t dependent on isocyanate or thinner evaporation. By
taking advantage of newer technology, Scorpion is helping their customers and workers
enjoy a safer work environment. Scorpion still encourages use of full face respirators.
 Scorpion is the only system which allows the use of aggregate or fillers. The introduction of
rubber granules, both in the product and on top of Scorpion, allows you to custom design

My name is Anthony Quinn. I own TARGET RUBBER COATINGS in Beaverlodge, Alberta. I have been with
Scorpion Canada since ’98. Scorpion’s XO-2 rubber spray is the most versatile product out there. I know
because I’ve been doing things with this product that aren’t easily done buy the competition. I make it my
business to check out the competition and what they have to offer. They don’t come close to what you can
do with this product. In this area oil and gas, logging and agriculture are very abundant, that means heavily
abused vehicles. What I find with Scorpion box liners for example is that they have more of a rubber
texture, that means when your bouncing down a rough road and you have a 500lb slip tank in the back full
of fuel, customers say the tank never moves, full or empty. Gravel roads are another problem face with
many in this area, a customer came to me with a truck that was rock chipped down to the core metal that
was after 25,000km. We sprayed the rocker panel [color matched] and the truck is still rolling with over
150,000km, no problem. Yes, the competition does spray rocker panels but to achieve color match they
paint the rocker panel spray, with Scorpion you add the vehicle color tint to the product you spray, so on
these roads up here when the gravel has chipped away at the competitors painted product, I’ve seen it and
it hasn’t been pretty! What I really like about this product is the variations of texture, I’ve sprayed this stuff
glass smooth [self level affect fills in the imperfections on patio decks] and I’ve sprayed this very rough for
ultimate traction. Like I said after what I’ve done with this product design, colors, etc, etc,] and what the
completion has to offer there is no way they can compete.
We began using Scorpion Coatings spray-on liner in the beginning of 2009. Not knowing what to expect we
had few expectations. However with the low start-up costs the trial costs were inconsequential. What
started as a trial quickly turned into a major development of our products. Customers immediately took
notice of the quality of the product and the improvement to our already quality finish. Within months
customers demanded all our products come standard with the Scorpion Coatings lining. Combined with
the great customer response, we also had a great reduction in warranty claims regarding paint finish. The
