Winter Gym 2014
Winter gym is for any FVS student K-6. It will run from January into February. Winter
gym will be held on Mondays starting January 13th, from 3:00-4:30pm. Kids should
bring a note from home so they can stay after school and have a parent phone number
listed in case of emergency. They should also bring a snack in case they get
hungry. It would be best to have sneakers and a short sleeve shirt to
change into if needed.
There is no bus, so parents need to arrange for their child’s transportation
at 4:30pm. FYI, in bad weather children will be sent home on the bus for
safety. Questions? Contact Wanda Benner 542-3822…See you soon!
Thank you to this week’s Lunchroom Helpers!

Good luck and have fun! Heating
Safety
There is something about the winter months and curling up
with a good book by the fireplace. But did you know that heating
equipment is one of the leading causes of home fire deaths? With
a few simple safety tips and precautions you can prevent most
heating fires from happening.
!"#$%&'(
)*+%,-"&$(
.-#/$0
Install wood burning
stoves following
manufacturer’s instructions
or have a professional do the
installation. All fuel-burning
equipment should be vented
to the outside to avoid carbon
monoxide (CO) poisoning.
Install and maintain CO
alarms to avoid the risk
of CO poisoning. If
you smell gas in
your gas heater, do
do not light the
appliance. Leave the
home immediately
and call your local fire
department or gas company.
FACT
Half of home heating fires are
reported during the months
of December, January,
and February.
