Joe Theismanns
Joe Theismanns had one of the
most severe
injuries ever. Joe
Theismanns is an
NFL quarterback.
He was going for
a flea flicker. The
Giants knew it
was a fake so
they went for a
sack. Lawrence
Taylor rushed
through the line
and tackled Joe
Theismanns. He
gotta compound fracture. Almost
nobody gets a fracture on the tibula
and fibula. He said it sounded like
two muzzled gunshots and his legs

snapped like breadsticks. Lawrence
Taylor drove straight into his knee.
It was featured on ESPN and was
titled the hit
that no one
who saw it
can forget it.
The
compound
fracture
caused
insufficient
growth in his
right leg. His
left leg is
bigger then
his right, now.
It was a career ending injury. He still
has a messed up leg. THis is why it
is a big severe injury.

Clint Malarchuk
Clint Malarchuk injury is one of the
most nasty and
rare cases.
It happened
when steve
Tuttle and Uwe
Krupp jumbled
up and flew into
the goal. When
they slid one of
their skates
managed to hit
Clint s throat.
Almost no
players in the
NHL have ever
experienced what he did. It is a life
threatening injury that Clint suffered. It
is because he severed his jugular vein.
Clint had lost a total of one third of his
blood. If the Blade would have hit one
eighth of an inch higher he would be
dead in 2 minutes. Malarchuk was

coaching a game and Zedniski had
the same thing happen. A lot of the
people who
ditched it said
it was one of
the most
scary and
nasty things
they have
seen. People
that were
actually there
threw up and
some fainted
and even had
heart attacks.
He had to have
up to 300 stitches to cover the wound.
The only reason he didn't die was
because the equipment manager was
an ex army medic. Clint Malarchuk
barely survived and he is lucky. That is
why. Clint Malarchuk had one of the
worst injuries.
