QUOTABLE MOMENTS
“His writing is reminiscent of vintage Chris LeDoux and his voice is clear and resonant lending authenticity
and mystique to songs inspired by genuine experience and character.”
Brenn Hill - award-winning singer/songwriter (Utah)
“[Jared] reminds me, in tone, of the underrated Bob Woodruff; they both have this freewheeling, maverick
approach to life and music. “Alan Cackett – Maverik Magazine (UK)
“Musically speaking, a strong leg of the Western Expansion will walk in contemporary boots. Jared Rogerson
wears them well.” Rick Huff’s Best of the West – The Wester Way (New Mexico)

but all Western!” Totsie Slover - The Real West from the Old West (New Mexico)
“For Jared, the future is bright, and he’s ready to take it by the horns, just like everything else he’s tackled.”
Katie Hime – Wyoming Lifestyle Magazine (Wyoming)
“Older folks may listen and say ‘oh-boy!’ Younger folks, notably females, will look and listen and say ‘ohboy’ and mean it! Jared Rogerson rocks, in both senses of the word.”
Rick Huff’s Best of the West - The Western Way (New Mexico)
“Jared Rogerson has lived the life and put it to music.”

JARED ROGERSON - BIOGRAPHY
AUTHENTICITY
Raised up in the mighty Rocky Mountain West, Jared Rogerson is the product of a generation learning to
thrive in midst of ever changing surroundings. His songwriting draws from 17 years bronc’ riding in
rodeos and thousands of miles exploring the remote backcountry on horseback. “I learned things you can’t
learn in any classroom.” Jared would know, as he has spent plenty of time in the classroom. His college
tuition was covered mostly through rodeo and academic scholarships and he earned a Master’s degree in
biology while continuing to rodeo professionally. Ironically, it was one last rodeo injury in 2007 that
spurred Jared into take his music more seriously. He now sports an L-shaped scar on the inner joint of his
riding arm where the biceps tendon was re-attached. “I like this scar, it was good timing. It gave me an
opportunity to escape with my life and chase a different dream.”
DIVERSE INFLUENCES
Jared has also been influenced by a variety of musical styles. “When you’re rodeoing, you spend most of
your time just driving and listening to the radio. We listened to whatever would keep us wake.” The
resulting line-up of some of his all time favorite artists includes George Strait, Steve Earle, Lucinda
Williams, Bob Dylan, Reckless Kelly, and Brenn Hill. “Oh, and Bon Jovi.” Despite his broad spectrum of
musical taste, there is one artist that has undoubtedly influenced Jared Rogerson’s life and music mostChris LeDoux.
COWBOY MUSIC FROM THE NEW WEST
If you take Jared’s diverse repertoire of life experiences and mix it together with all the musical genres
that have influenced him, the end result is a modern cowboy-flavored vibe lyrically embellished with
character and an honest edge, and deepened by the unmistakable tone of genuine experience. Jared calls
his unique sonic blend of contemporary authenticity, Cowboy Music from the New West. His 2011 release,
Peace, Love & Horses, was nominated for Best Country Album by the Independent Music Awards. With
his 2013 release, Dirt, Jared expounds musically upon his edgy Cowboy-Americana style and further
establishes himself as a songwriting ambassador for the youth of rural America. Both albums continue to
receive regular airplay on several Western and commercial Top-40 Country stations across the Rocky
Mountain region and in various hot-spots throughout the country.
LIFE’S TOO SHORT TO RIDE A SLOW HORSE
We now live in a world where economic chaos, natural disaster, environmental catastrophe, and
international strife wallpaper our television screens daily. Even worse is the loss of a sense of purpose for
millions. Like the courageous men and women who traversed the rugged landscapes of the American West
150 years ago, great challenges face us all. Though the West has changed, the underlying theme remainsopportunity. “Now is the time when every single person can make an impact on the world. For me, it is
music. My hope is to inspire others to dream big and then chase down those dreams. Now is the time.
Life’s too short to ride a slow horse.”
