2015 GRAND NATIONAL YOUTH TRAPSHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIPS AUGUST 1 - 4, 2015 World Shooting & Recreational Complex - Sparta, il ATA EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS WELCOME Welcome to the 2015 AIM National Youth Trapshooting Championships! We’re glad you’re here and thankful for your year-round support of the AIM program. The AIM program continues to grow, offering a balanced program of registered trapshooting not only during this Championship Tournament, but all year long with the Monthly Shooting Events, State Championship Tournaments and the Online Singles and Handicap events. This year’s Shootin’ Showdown will include the CZ-USA 9mm Handgun Event for the first time ever. We’ve also revised the Rifle Event and the 3-Gun Tactical, plus the 28 Gauge and International Events are back. The Parent /Coach competition is also back this year as is the Annie Oakley shoot out (Saturday), this year sponsored by Nobel Sport. Registered competition begins on Sunday with the AIM National Youth Doubles Championship sponsored by Browning, followed by the AIM National Youth Handicap Championship sponsored by Winchester. Monday and Tuesday will once again be the days of the AIM National Youth Singles Championship sponsored by Remington, 100 of each per day. Due to the large number of early morning practice shooters, we will be offering practice on ALL program traps from 7:30 to 8:30 on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday mornings. That’s right, the entire line of fields that will be used each day. You MUST buy your practice ticket at East or West practice buildings (NO practice tickets will be sold at the program traps) to give to the scorekeeper on the program field of your choice. No practice squads will be allowed to go to the line on the program fields after 8:30, however East and West practice will be open all day, just as in the past. Evening events will include the ice cream social on Saturday, the Hog Dog party on Sunday and the Browning/White Flyer/Winchester exhibition shooters and pizza party on Sunday. Check the schedule of events on Page 6 for other daytime activities also. Take a look at the list of AIM Title Sponsors in this program and be sure to visit them and get signatures for the Sponsor Spotlight. While you’re there be sure to thank these companies for their support of the AIM program. If you’ve got a purchase decision to make, be sure to consider our sponsors. They helped us, so try to help them! Thanks again to all competitors, parents and coaches to devoting your time, talents and resources to participation in the AIM program, and our great lifetime sport. Some of the friendships you develop through participation in the AIM program and ATA registered trapshooting, could very likely go on for the length of your life. Mine have! Good Luck and Good Shooting! Lynn Gipson ATA Executive Director NATIONAL AIM COORDINATORS WELCOME Hello Shooters! It’s that time of year again!
