Greenville’s Suzuki Strings Association
will host its second annual 9 Hole Golf
Scramble on Saturday, May 19th, at
Hartline’s Golf Center, located at 3771 I-30
E in Greenville. A $35 entry fee covers
participants’ green fee, cart fee, lunch and 5
raffle tickets. Check-in is at 9am, and tee-off
is at 10am. Lunch and a raffle will follow at
noon.
Although the tournament itself is limited
to ten four-person teams, non-golfers are
welcome to attend the event, which will
feature first-place trophies made by John
Hill, closest-to-the-pin trophies on holes #4
and #9, mulligans for sale for just $5 each
at sign-in, and raffle tickets, available for
$1. Businesses and individuals may also
choose to sponsor a hole, for $100.
All proceeds will benefit the Greenville
Suzuki Strings Association Parents Club.

I am dedicated, as a person and as a public servant to properly represent the voters
of Precinct 3. I recognize that it is my responsibility to ensure that my actions will
promote trustworthiness, morality, autonomy, honesty and, above all, integrity, as I interact with my constituents.
As Commissioner, in the past, my agenda has never been self-serving, nor will it be in the future. Rather, my
main objective will be to serve the citizens of Hunt County, and represent the people of Precinct 3. I will work as
a team with other elected officials, as I have in the past.
As your Commissioner, I will work closely with the Mayors and City Councils to improve the roads, and I
will work with the school districts. I do not support the charging of “Rental Fees” for the use of equipment that
taxpayers have already purchased.
In 2008, I told the Herald Banner that I would be proactive in trying to resurface the 99 miles of rock road
in Precinct 3. Later, I presented agenda items regarding County Roads, and they were passed. The motion to
approve mixing RAP & oil, desired as improvement, has been passed and since gone into effect.
As your commissioner, I will work with local government to bring new businesses to Hunt County, while
never forgetting the importance of existing businesses. I am an advocate for purchasing goods from locallyowned businesses, and also an Executive Board Member of the Hunt County Economics Alliance.
