Happy Holidays Dazzling Diamonds,
The time is now. The holidays are here! Have you called all the
Santas from your wish lists? Have you contacted each husband to see
if he needs a gift for his wife? If not, now is the time! Everyone is in a
Christmas mood and looking for the perfect gift. It’s the most wonderful
time of the year for so many reasons. We have a spirit of giving: gifts,
cheer, compliments, it’s the season of joy! Why not be a part of that by
offering the perfect gift and the career opportunity for your customers to

It’s also the perfect season for beginning this fabulous opportunity.

Our new Unit web site is up and running (www.disanelson.com)!!! I
have put a lot of thought and work into getting a site that I think will
serve us all as we set our sights on becoming a National Area by
December of 2013. That is just 12 months away! What part will you
play in our new National Area? An Offspring Director, a car driver,
Team Leader, Star Team Builder, Senior Consultant, a cheerleader? It
will take many women working toward this common goal to attain it.

think. Do you see anything that could be better if tweeked a little? Is
there a particular area you really like? And, how about the Opportunity
page? Start sending your potential team members there to click on
different stories of women who are successful in Mary Kay. And, then
they can email me to let me know what they think and if they have
further questions about the career opportunity!
It is also time to start thinking about what 2013 is going to look like for
you and your business. The habits you start forming now will set the
pace for the coming months. I would love to talk with you to get a plan
in place to make your wildest dreams come true in 2013. Please call

If you don’t order a minimum $200 wholesale in a month, you start over with the consistency prizes. (Consistency
starts over every year on July 1st)
Earn the whimsical pattern pink and black mug when you order a consistent $400 wholesale for
3 months. There will be 4 different patterns throughout the year. You will want them all!
We’re aiming for the $300,000 unit club this year!
To keep the goal in front of you, you can earn a bar pin for your retail
sales! Get a $100 bill (fake, of course) for every $100 in retail sales. If
you have $180 in sales, you will only get one $100 bill. I have always
built my business on the “and then some” principle. Just think of the
extra money you’ll earn by getting another $20 order each week. In just
a month you could have another $80-$100 in sales. That adds up in the
course of a year.
When you get 10 bills, you will trade them in for a $1,000 bar pin. Do it
again, and you can turn in the bills and bar pin for a $2,000 bar pin, etc.
You must post your Weekly Accomplishment Sheets online or send them
to me to get your bills.

Career Conference Special Functions
Glitter and Gold Luncheon
 Consultants who, from Dec. 1, 2012 to Feb. 28, 2013, add two qualified new
personal team members will be invited to this special luncheon held in their
honor.
 Any qualified new Consultants who add one new qualified team member from
Dec. 1, 2012 to Feb. 28, 2013 will also be invited to attend the luncheon.
*A qualified new personal team member is one whose initial order with the Company is $600 or more in wholesale Section 1 products, and it
is received and accepted by the Company in the same or following calendar month that her Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement is
received and accepted by the Company.

January 8: Online DIQ commitment forms available
beginning 6am CST until midnight on the 10th.
January 9: Leadership Conference for Pearl, Ruby and
Emerald Seminars begins.
January 13: Leadership Conference for Diamond, Sapphire
and Canadian Seminars begins.
January 16: Beaut-e-News begins emailing to customers.
January 21: Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Postal Holiday.
January 30: Last day of the month for consultants to place
telephone orders (until 10pm CST)
January 31: Last business day of the month. Last day of the
month for consultants to place online orders (until 9pm CST).
Orders and agreements submitted by mail or dropped off at
the branches must be received by 7pm local time to count
toward this month’s production. Online agreements accepted
until midnight CST.

Call Today!
The first step to great
customer service is
knowing your
customers. The more
you know about them,
the more service you
can offer. Wouldn’t
you love for your
favorite store to call you when they run one
of your favorite products on sale or get in
something new they know you will love?
Offer that same great service to your
customers, especially for the holidays. Send
a thank you note to each new customer, and
follow up to make sure she is satisfied. This
will set the tone for calling to meet her needs
in the future, and will let her know that you
care about her as a customer and meeting
her needs rather than just getting that first
sale. We want life-long customers: leading
to referrals, long-term sales, and much more!
December & January are two of our
company’s best sales months.
Working full circle means that sales turn into interviews! Are your
friends and acquaintances going to holiday parties? Help them with
a holiday glamour look! You can learn together and have a great
time! Women will be making their New Year’s Resolutions, which
means they are ready for a change. Change usually requires a
makeover, and they may have “gift” funds available to make their
purchases. Get some training under way by holding classes and
interviews today! That way you are ready to take advantage of the
new year. Help
clients over the

treating them to
