Our conference, the world’s largest simulation of the United Nations, provides a forum for learning about the United Nations and a wide range of contemporary international issues. Participants leave with the insights needed to become better global citizens and the next generation of international leaders. Cooperative, hands-on learning is our guiding principle. In preconference preparation, as well as during committees and hallway caucuses at the conference, students confront a range of topics that they must view from the perspective of their assigned country or nongovernmental organization. Through these experiences, culminating in plenary sessions at UN Headquarters in New York, students develop an appreciation of the perspectives of other peoples, the frustration of NCCA VISION STATEMENT negotiation, the rewards of cooperation, and a broader view of the A world from our continuing work to sustain educational quality and strengthen comprised of civically engaged people who strive for human side of international relations and diplomacy.
