• Drops from HP 2570 have roughly the same OD as drops from aqueous inks
• Drops of lower mass are more vulnerable to airflow
• Throw distance of 1mm or less minimizes airflow and
improves PQ
Sensitivity to Throw Distance
•Longer throw distance increases aerosol and decreases PQ
•Aerosol build-up leads to need for pen servicing (wiping)
•Bar code scores drop quickly at >1mm
•Text readable at >1mm

Maintenance and Storage
• Use lint-free wipe that is either dry or
wetted with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA)

• Acetone will permanently damage the print head
