Harmony Academy of Grand Prairie would like to invite
you to celebrate the Cinco de Mayo with us. We will have a diversity of
performances and games for all. But, without your support this event will not
be possible. As it is a custom already we would like to ask you to contribute
with an authentically Mexican dish. This is essential so that the celebration
of Cinco de Mayo becomes a success. I hope and trusted that we can count

"Harmony Highlights Hispanic Heritage"
on May 14 from 1:00 pm to 2:10 pm with special guest speaker WFAA
Channel 8 Broadcast Journalist and Community Leader Gloria Campos. In
addition, the President of the Greater Grand Prairie Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce Greg Vaquera is invited to speak. Students in grades 8 through 12
will be the respectful audience, as well as staff, administration and parents.

Dear Parents,
Harmony Science Academy is pleased
to announce that our Annual Health
and Safety Fair is around the corner on
April 27th from 9 am to 2 pm. We need
participants that are in need of the
dental services to please submit their
paperwork as soon as possible. Our
goal is to have at least 15 students
participate in these services and we
have not yet met this goal. If you know
of children that may need these
services and qualify, please have them
call the nurse's office. Also, if you do
not qualify for Medicaid and are of
low income and your children are in
need of glasses, please contact the
nurse. These students may qualify
during the Health fair to receive a free
vision exam and free glasses. We hope
all students and their families can
come out and take advantage of this
event. Also if you are interested in
volunteering in this event please call
the nurse and your hours may count as
community service hours. The Grand
Prairie Police Department of S.W.A.T.
will be at the Health Fair with 2 of
their trucks to show us how they help
the
community.
Many
more
organizations will also be participating
in this event, with information, games,
and door prizes. Please help us reach
our goals and make this a memorable
community event.

El 14 de mayo 1:00pm-2:10pm, tendremos un orador invitado de WFAA Canal
8 Periodista de Radio y líder comunitaria
Gloria Campos.
Además, estará
invitado el Presidente en Grand Prairie de la Cámara de Comercio Hispana
Greg Vaquera.
Los estudiantes de los grados 8 a 12 serán la audiencia, así
como el personal, la administración y los padres.

Estimados padres de familia,
Harmony Science Academy se complace en anunciar que nuestra Feria
Anual de Salud y Seguridad, está a la vuelta de la esquina el 27 de abril 09
a.m.-2 p.m. Necesitamos a los participantes que están en necesidad de los
servicios dentales que por favor, envíe su documentación lo más pronto
posible. Nuestra meta es tener por lo menos 15 estudiantes que participen en
estos servicios y aún no hemos logrado esta meta. Si usted sabe de niños que
pueden necesitar estos servicios y calificar, por favor haga que llame a la
oficina de la enfermera. Además, si usted no califica para Medicaid y que son
de bajos ingresos y sus hijos están en necesidad de anteojos, por favor póngase
en contacto con la enfermera. Estos estudiantes pueden calificar durante la
feria de salud para recibir un examen de la vista gratuita y anteojos gratuitos.
Esperamos que todos los estudiantes y sus familias puedan salir y disfrutar de
este evento.
Además, si usted está interesado en ser voluntario en este evento, por favor
llame a la enfermera y sus horas pueden contar como horas de servicio
comunitario. El Departamento de Policía de Grand Prairie de S.W.A.T. estará
en la Feria de la Salud con 2 de sus camiones para mostrarnos cómo ayudan a
la comunidad. Muchas organizaciones más también estarán participando en
este evento, con información, juegos y premios. Por favor, ayude a alcanzar
nuestras metas y hacer de este un evento memorable comunidad.
