Dear Parishioners,
A very Happy and Blessed Mother's Day to you who are
mothers! May your children bless you with much love and
peace.
I'm happy to inform all of our parishioners that upon Msgr.
Andy's retirement in July, we will be welcoming Fr. Zach
Webb to Mary Immaculate as our new Parochial Vicar.
Fr. Zach has been a priest for three years where has been
serving at St. Francis in Frisco. He grew up at St. Ann in
Coppell so he is very familiar with the area.
After spending four weeks in July studying Spanish in Nicaragua he will come join us in August 2015.
We are grateful for Msgr. Andy's dedicated service to us
here these past 11 years.

Life Long Faith Focus on the Gospel
John 15:12-16
We are a people that place a high value on
the right to choose. We make all sorts of
choices - big and small – in the course of our
everyday lives. How does it feel to know that you did not
choose Jesus, but in fact he chose you? Sometimes we fall
into the trap of thinking that we are responsible for our
faith, that it is there to be chosen or not. This simply is not
true. It is Christ who has called to us, clasped us to himself, and is unwilling to let us go. Thus, the only choice is
whether we want to follow his command to love, learning
bit by bit, what it means to “lay down one’s life for one’s
friends.” Choose to love today in all that you say and do.

Journey of Hope...Daily Inspiration
Follow the Peace
The more you open yourself up to God, the more He,
through the Holy Spirit, will guide your heart. The Holy
Spirit is your advocate, your guide, in daily living. The more
you work to center your life on Christ and doing God's will,
the more sensitized to a feeling of peace you will become.
Let that feeling of peace, or the lack of it, be your guide. As
a general rule, when you are doing God's will you will find
peace. If you are not, peace will be fleeting or non-existent.
While it is true that God leads you through difficult times to
form you and strengthen your faith, through prayer and
reflection you will come to know if the struggle is leading
you closer or further away from God. Follow the peace.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world
gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or
afraid." (John 14:27).

The New Day program is designed to help each person
work through the tasks of grief in an atmosphere of caring
and understanding. Support from others who have experienced similar situations is one of the most helpful ways to
move beyond the pain of grief towards healing. The number of participants is limited in order to create a supportive
environment for each person. The program will begin

Parenting Pointer...Generally, a mother's love for her child is
assumed and hopefully reciprocated. Yes, show love for your
mother (or someone who has been like a loving mother to
you) this weekend. Identify and share an act of sacrifice
made on your behalf by your mother (grandmothers, foster
and adoptive mothers, mothers-in-law, stepmothers, and
those who have been like a mother to you).
Marriage Moment...“This I command you: love one another." (John 15:17) Love is such a squishy emotion. During
good times it comes easily. When do you find it hard to love
your beloved? Talk it through. Love anyway.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Saturday, May
16th at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Conference
Room. This will be their last meeting before
the summer break. Thank you for your
prayers and monetary support of this ministry that not only touches the lives of our parishioners, but
also many of the prayer shawls are sent out to friends and
family members. We also receive request from people
who read about this ministry on our website. The monetary

Mary Immaculate Parish will host the Engaged Encounter
on June 19th and 20th, 2015. The weekend is
designed to give couples planning or
discerning marriage an opportunity to
dialogue openly and honestly in areas of life
style expectations, marriage covenant, finances, communication, conflict resolution, forgiveness and
healing, family of origin and personality styles. We have 50

St. Paula’s Patrons, a Dallas Diocesan Widows’ Ministry,
has as its host parish, St. Ann’s Catholic Parish in Coppell.
The ministry is appropriately named St. Paula’s Patrons,
since St. Paula is the patroness of widows and “patron”
means one who supports. The goal of St. Paula’s is to help
create a new and meaningful life for Christian widows of all
ages by providing an upbeat, casual forum to worship, socialize and create new friendships, “branching out” into a

Food Delivery Volunteers Needed
Saturday Mornings

Each summer, MetroCrest Services delivers food to families, ensuring that school children on free/reduced lunches
also have nutritious food for breakfast & lunch throughout
the summer. Mary Immaculate will once again be helping
our neighbor church, Christ United Methodist, with food
deliveries to over 95 families this summer! Volunteers
must have Safe Environment Program clearance through
the parish and be able to carry 15 lbs and walk up and

Catholic adults! MIYA (Mary Immaculate Young Adults)
will be volunteering May 16th at 1pm- 3:30 pm at the North
Texas Food Bank, 4500 S. Cockrell Hill Rd, Dallas 75236.
You can either meet us there or at 12:15 pm in the Mary
Immaculate Parking Lot so we can carpool. Also, we are
planning to go out to eat after so we hope you can join us
for this community service and fellowship
Mary Immaculate Church is privileged to host DECATS
again in June, and for this reason there will NOT be Vacation
Bible School this year. The DECATS is an experience which
offers its scholars exciting opportunities for growth, achievement, and adventures in learning.
Thank you to all our families who have paid their balances in

We initiate registrations for the 2015-2016 school year on
June 2nd. We hope everyone has a great summer and we look

Un muy feliz y bendecido Día de las Madres para ustedes y

Me complace informar a todos nuestros feligreses que
cuando se jubile el Monseñor Andy en julio, le daremos la
bienvenida a María Inmaculada al Padre Zach Webb como
nuestro nuevo Vicario Parroquial.
El Padre Zach ha sido sacerdote durante tres años en los
cuales ha estado sirviendo en la parroquia de San Francisco en Frisco. Creció en Santa Ana en Coppell, así que
está muy familiarizado con el área.
Después de pasar cuatro semanas de julio estudiando
español en Nicaragua vendrá a unirse a nosotros en
agosto de 2015.

El Ministerio Chal de oración se reunirá el sábado, 16 de

no habrá escuela bíblica de vacaciones este año. El
DECATS es una experiencia que ofrece a los participantes grandes oportunidades de crecimiento, logros y
aventuras de aprendizaje.


Hispano va a tener una Conferencia Bilingüe para las
Familias el Sábado, 20 de junio 2015 en Nolan Catholic
High School en Fort Worth de 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. El tema de la
conferencia será El Amor es Nuestra Misión: La familia
plenamente viva. Este evento familiar ofrecerá oportunidades para compartir la fe con toda la familia, una serie de
charlas cortas para niños y adultos, tiempos de descanso,
el almuerzo, un Espectáculo de Magia, y Misa. El costo de
los boletos es: $ 25 por persona o $ 40 por familia, y
pueden ser comprados en la puerta o en línea. Para más

Estaremos recolectando las alcancías de bebé (Baby
Banks) con sus donaciones las siguientes fechas:
9, 10, 16 y 17 de Mayo.
Tendremos una caja en el vestíbulo para
que las deposite. También puede dejarlas en la oficina de la parroquia durante
la semana. Una porción del dinero recaudado por medio de las alcancías se destinará
a
proyectos de pro vida aquí en nuestra
parroquia. El año pasado tuvimos una campaña muy exitosa, colectamos $3,424.01! Por favor ayúdenos a que este
2015 sea otro año exitoso!

de ruedas, por favor hable con un ministro de hospitalidad
para que le ayude. Tenemos sillas de ruedas disponibles
para uso de nuestros feligreses.
¿Tiene usted amigos o familiares en un asilo de ancianos o
en un hospital de nuestra área? ¿o están viviendo en su
casa y necesitan apoyo? Por favor háganoslo saber.

Asistencia de transporte — Varios de nuestros
feligreses de la tercera edad ya no son capaces de conducir un automóvil y por lo tanto, ya no pueden asistir
regularmente a misa. Si usted conoce o sabe de alguien
que necesita asistencia de transporte para venir a la misa,
o si usted tiene transporte confiable, un gran corazón y
está dispuesto a ayudar a transportar a uno de estos
feligreses para que pueda venir a misa, por favor póngase

La Escuela Católica de María Inmaculada continúa
aceptando inscripciones con disponibilidad en varios
grados para el año 2015-2016. Se ofrece una reducción en la matrícula a las familias católicas que están
registradas en nuestra parroquia, y que contribuyen
al menos $800 anuales a la parroquia. Una familia
Católica se define como una familia en la cual por lo
menos uno de los padres de familia es bautizado
católico y el niño(a) fue bautizado católico. Para más
